Fuji from Regina, CanadaI love all the highlighted bits! Great effect...dreamy and almost surreal. Like dreaming of that day by the ocean! 27 Jun 2008 5:26am @Fuji: Thanks Fuji. It was windy that day, the sun was to be going down soon and the air was still fairly warm. The angle of the sun made this seem somewhat surreal before I even put the camera up to my face :) @Helen: Thank you Helen! Vink from Magagnosc, FranceMarvelous colors ! I like effect and composition. Perfect unreal atmosphere ! 27 Jun 2008 6:58am Mike from Lichfield, United KingdomI love the effect in this photo. Very pleasing to the eye. 27 Jun 2008 7:19am _____ H o M o _____ from Tehran, Irangreat color great contrast & terrific composition so well done! 27 Jun 2008 7:29am @_____ H o M o _____: Thanks so much! Alessandro from Calci (PI), ItalyWhat is this? Very surreal, I like it! Care to share any details on treatment? 27 Jun 2008 8:59am @Alessandro: Grazie Alessandro! Well..it's basically 2 people walking along the breakwater. It was an intense sunny time, but the sun was also going down so the angle was 'just so'. All I did was to increase the contrast to make the water more intense, add a bit of blur and dodge the waves to make them more obvious. I cropped the top so as to make it seem like like a film segment. The rest is all Mother Nature and being at the right place at the right time. :) paulski from Muncie, IN, United Statesbeautiful; i love the way you captured shimmering of the water. superb! 27 Jun 2008 11:38am @Matt Sutton: :-) lissa from New York, United StatesI like the result and the green water sort of makes it surreal 27 Jun 2008 4:00pm dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, United Stateswhat a dream!! simply magnificent! bravo, bravo! and if only ALL dreams were as wonderful as this -- i would stow away all my belongs and sleep for eternity! wonderful results! 27 Jun 2008 5:17pm António Pires from Lisbon, PortugalThis is something out of the ordinary. Which thoughts this image sparked? It's like a dream, like a memory, things that I can remember but not sharp or detailed, more like shadows. 27 Jun 2008 8:19pm Mike from Lodi, United StatesThis has a great feel to it. Very isoltaed and peaceful. Wait... is that a mound of fresh dirt? Really great shot and treatment. 28 Jun 2008 1:26am browneyes from Kanagawa, JapanLove this color. Very different green. ...from what? Actually i can't explain lol But it is, very! 29 Jun 2008 7:41am Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesNice treatment for a spectacular image. In all of your photos you demonstrate the transformative power of elevating an image above the ordinary. 30 Jun 2008 10:59pm paolo from Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Italyi love those two friendly silhouettes, you did a great work on processing it. 5 Jul 2008 6:25pm Arnaud from CanadaVery interesting color and composition. The processing and the black tones are overwhelming though which I find counter productive. Very nice picture though! 6 Jul 2008 5:55pm sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesI love the green in this...it builds on the mystery you always seem to achieve in your images. 16 Oct 2008 1:51pm |
