So crowded... I cannot say why, but this pictures gives me a feeling of lonelyness. Lots of people, yet so small in the sea... yet each doing it's own business. Did you feel the same? Anyhow, a very nice B&W.

@Vincent Bertrand: Thank you Vincent! Yes, the feeling of loneliness is perhaps because I was trying to make it seem as if it is from long ago. Perhaps looking back on the past from many years ago and remembering were happier times. I understand what you mean, and that was my intention :)
There is a lonely feel to the photo but I don't know why. It's a great capture though and I'd never have thought black and white would work but it clearly does.

@Mike: Thank you Mike. I tried to make this seem it was from another time and so the viewer may seem somewhat disconnected from it, like looking back on days gone by. Perhaps that is why it feels lonely.
Again an excellent work

a marvelous angle and a marvelous view! the near silhouettes of figures in and amongst the the water's white wash are quite captivating... but it brings to mind something quite sad and heavy and anonymous. a beautiful b/w -- the tonal ranges and lighting are superb!

Nice shot, but I like my beaches without people, even if they add something to a photograph, as they do here.
