of silent thoughtPosted by bluechameleon (Vancouver, Canada) on 20 August 2008 in Architecture and Portfolio. I went up to Westminster Abbey in Mission over the weekend, something I have not done in years. The (almost) silence of the grounds were peaceful, just the sound of the wind and the monks chanting inside, their music travelling through my airwaves as I was taking this photograph. I felt an eerie calm as if wrapped in gaussian blur. All Rights Reserved © Sharon Wish

It immediatly made me think, don't know why, of a Playstation game called "Splinter Cell", where you have to creep thru darkness and avoid bright light. That stair is the percfect example of this. Anyhow. This is a beautiful quiet moment, perfectly rendered. Great, precise work. Well done! 20 Aug 2008 7:17pm Marie from FRESNES, Francec'est magnifique, une belle atmosphère, un superbe contraste... 20 Aug 2008 8:43pm Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesA really impressive composition; lots to absorb in both the image and your commentary. Not only do you make poetry with your images, but also with your words... I'm struck by the beauty of your view. 21 Aug 2008 12:16am dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Stateswow - such an elegant procession of stepping -- for me, the energy starts gently at the top and the eye then swings 'left-right-left' and then comes down the final landing to the captivating foreground by that 'sizzling' row of white / green plants. and the direct light is just radiant -- hitting the second level cement wall and cascading down through the steps mixing with the ambient lighting just over the landing... and the shadows -- don't get me started!! (you know how much i love your velvety blacks!!!) :D just a stunning composition, a wonderful play with light, and a faaabulous b/w!! and i hope you don't mind me waiting to the near end of the day to comment on your daily posting -- i prefer it -- it means the end of a long day and a time to begin graciously preparing for the next! plus we are on the same pacific time zone -- so our patterns are much more synched! :) a marvelous offering this is! thank you for this wonderful presentation! a marvelously constructed image!! bravo!! 21 Aug 2008 1:37am Zion from Engins - 38, FranceUne belle ambiance que nous fait parvenir avec cette photo.
