sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesWhat a fine portrait. It's perfect. If anyone is trying to quit smoking they're in trouble. He makes it look like a delight. Is that awful to say? I hope not. It's just such a real capture if you know what I mean. 6 Sep 2008 5:10am @sherri: I understand what you are saying. In a way it's almost kind of a glamorous look, thinking about the films from the 30's and 40's....the cigarettes always seem to be part of the mood that was being created. For the record, I abhor smoking, plus I'm allergic so that does not help matters either. Thanks Sherri...for your kind words and in-sight! Kylie Greenan from Richmond, AustraliaThe lighting and tone in this image is just beautiful Bluechameleon, a great portrait, I love the processing (orton?), it is an absolutely gorgeous! 6 Sep 2008 5:41am @Kylie Greenan: Thanks Kylie! No, it's not orton, I haven't a clue how to do that. Just some dodging and burning and a slight blur added :) Momo from Montpellier, Francewhat a great face, look, style...and the softness, glow in the image...magic...I'll bet he's a great storyteller... 6 Sep 2008 9:22am @Momo: Thank you! Yes, I'm sure he is...I found him very interesting to watch and could not help but follow him around for awhile, from a distance ;) Rui from Leiria, PortugalSuperb image. Another intriguing image with many different perceptions and understandings, making us think. 6 Sep 2008 10:15am Jc Dugayo from Alaminos City, Philippinesthis site is so interesting and entertaining as well. FABulous as always, BC!! I've had a look-see at all I've missed and there isn't a one that isn't incredible. But the one I'd hang on my wall is the angel bird from yesterday... touches the heart and makes one sit back and philosophize. 6 Sep 2008 4:58pm Amr Tahtawi from Cairo, Egyptthe picture show him as a perfect man in his own way. 6 Sep 2008 6:43pm dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Statesexcellent portrait -- excellent processing!! very thought provoking with the touch of sadness... but so real because of it! brilliant shot BC! 7 Sep 2008 8:07am |
