I see friction rather than romance here. The pace of the walk, and the body language speaks of a war of words, pacifying and placating. No contact of hands, a turning of a head towards the striding female, speaks of conflict rather than love. Hey, that's just my interpretation, nothing more.
It's a fabulous photograph, beautifully observed and worls brilliantly wityh the dark tones and mono choice. Awesome work
