Jean-François from LES ISSAMBRES, Francetrès douce atmosphère ................................. magique ! 10 Jan 2009 5:05am Marcah from Quincy, United StatesWonderful mood you create. The winter looks to be here a long time. 10 Jan 2009 5:15am EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United KingdomOh my, 'I surrender' by David Sylvian. Ten minutes of sheer Utopia from a voice I've loved since the seventies. That wil played full volume on my sound system as soon as a decent hour comes that won't upset the neighbours ha ha What a photograph, Sharon. It's exactly this kind of scene that stays in my heart and mind through this journey of life, from my childhood in the countryside. I still have a similar picture in my head of our front gates and the deluge of snow each year that seemed so picture perfect to young eyes. Absolutely beautiful in observation and presentation 10 Jan 2009 5:39am Ajay from Pune, IndiaIt give a very nostalgic feeling of our childhood home, the only place where I saw snow. Since then, only in photographs and movies. 10 Jan 2009 6:08am Sien from Valkenswaard, NetherlandsThis is a wonderful composition here. Great image! 10 Jan 2009 7:48am k@ from Paris, FranceI can feel myself slowly coming home, carefully going ahead, not recognizing my own path, everything changed just because of that coat of white thick snow... Love the light on the fence... 10 Jan 2009 8:18am Kylie Greenan from Richmond, Australia:o)... I needed to see this today, although it is of snow and ice, it is beautifully warming and inviting BC as only you know how to do. The words are very moving. Bravo my friend! 10 Jan 2009 8:29am Elaine- from Canadalovely shot that suddenly makes me wish i could go back to my parents house and get a hug... but my mom is dead and my dad moved into an old folks home and the house has been sold... yes, you make me sad tonight.. very effective photo :) 10 Jan 2009 10:28am gelfoto from Madrid, SpainThat diffuse light and the fence, equip to the image of a very pleasant romantic touch. Greetings 10 Jan 2009 10:47am Mobius Faith from Akron, Ohio,, United StatesStunning. I love how the softness of the snow blends the contrasts of the image. 10 Jan 2009 11:03am grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomLovely light in this. Looks a slippery route though. I went flat on my back yesterday on black ice in the middle of a country lane. 10 Jan 2009 11:31am Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomLovely dreamy shot, and perfect to mix with the words of David Sylvian 10 Jan 2009 12:37pm António Pires from Lisbon, PortugalVery adequate: the path, the stairs, the fence, the snow. The light is wonderful. 10 Jan 2009 12:59pm Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaMMM this is dreamy, like whip cream on top of ice cream, looks delicious lol 10 Jan 2009 2:33pm Polydactyle from Montréal, CanadaWonderful atmosphere. The light is excellent. Great! 10 Jan 2009 2:36pm Alphons from Kaatsheuvel, NetherlandsInviting picture. Well seen and composed with that lovely light and a fine perspective. 10 Jan 2009 3:49pm 613photo from DALLAS, United StatesThis is a very interesting shot. The picket fence and softness of the photo make it warm and inviting, but the atmosphere with the snow and the water are just the opposite. Dig it. 10 Jan 2009 3:49pm Nataly from Santa Monica, United StatesHm... Stairs, fence, rocks covered with snow... And one would think "anyone sees something like this daily".... And how in a gods name do you manage to make it breath and talk???? The image is moaning "Surrender"! I wouldn`t think of better words to describe the emotion here. Well, I wouldn`t even think of photographing this place, I would walk by as I do every day... And your post work is fantastic to compliment the idea. Bravo! 10 Jan 2009 4:00pm Photographs by M.E. from Tustin, United Statesyour picture evoked nostalgia... Thank you. 10 Jan 2009 4:51pm Alivia from FranceA lot of snow..nous sommes loin, mais les hiver se ressemblent..la lumière joue sur la barrière et la neige, les ombres augmentent les contrastes..j'aime cette photo. 10 Jan 2009 7:18pm Shirin Moosavi from Tehran, IranHope can keep us alive, no matter what. 10 Jan 2009 7:30pm Bro from United KingdomJust taking a moment in the air, to breath before climbing the steps up to the warmth... 10 Jan 2009 8:05pm John Maslowski from Dallas,PA, United StatesBeautiful winter setting, the light and shadows create a pleasant feeling and mood in this image. I on the other hand see a darker mood, abandoned, lonely... Now this may be colored by what I am doing as well (playing a rather grim video game), and looking at it again, I can see both moods in this (as 613), so it is a very nicely taken picture! 11 Jan 2009 7:15pm Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesDon't know that I could explain why, but this is my favorite among your most recent images. 16 Jan 2009 5:30pm |
