Probably the blue tone, in this case, makes it even more cold than b&w... A beautiful winter's scene. 19 Jan 2009 7:24pm Ivar from Indianapolis, United StatesNice blue tones, nice view and beautifully captured. :) 19 Jan 2009 8:42pm Pixim from Nice, FranceWow, I like the blue of your photographs and in this one particularly. Your alternative composition leaves the commun run, and brings me several reflexions. the small character wedged in bottom on the right under this plugging white gleam (that you saved to us by to the minimum reducing it without drawing aside it however) is too often our destiny in this life. This bench empties in front of the landscape which requires to be useful to reassure us. And these distorted and starveling trees which are calls to the mutual aid. Then Bravo always 19 Jan 2009 9:38pm @Pixim: Wow Pixim...thank you! Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomI just love the overall blueness of this shot. 19 Jan 2009 9:39pm JoeB from Brampton, CanadaEven in colour, well actually blue which some say is the new black... you still have the desolate figure walking through the frame where we have no idea of where their heading, they might be searching for light which the clouds have robbed. 19 Jan 2009 9:44pm Riccardo from - Giovinazzo -, ItalyA poetic shot Sharon...the blue is fantastic...and this cold in your image is the opposite sensation of the cold... 19 Jan 2009 10:12pm AC from New York, United StatesI love the mood in this snap. The blue is so well captured and I really like the slight glow on the surface of the water. 19 Jan 2009 10:25pm 613photo from DALLAS, United StatesI like this a lot. Those cargo ships make it a lot more interesting to me, although it would've been fine even without them. Love the silhouetting. 20 Jan 2009 1:38am Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomA moody scene in midnight blue..... the lone figure is a powerful element. 20 Jan 2009 1:58am Suzanne from Huntington Bch, United StatesGreat image...love the framing...blue tones...snow...the works. 20 Jan 2009 2:07am JJ from Jersey City, United StatesSuch a wonderful capture, beautiful blue tones with the subtle pinks trying to break through on the horizon 20 Jan 2009 3:24am jamesy from christchurch, New ZealandWow love those blue tones and the tiny strip of pink 20 Jan 2009 4:28am Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaI am there with the winter blues...wow Blue, fantastic! 20 Jan 2009 12:05pm Doum from Saint-Alexandre, Quebec, CanadaWhat we can say after the lot of previous comments? The light, from the moon and sunset (or sunrise), is fantastic! Use HDR on this scenery and you can create a masterpiece. Bravo. 20 Jan 2009 4:51pm Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesBluer than velvet was the night, softer than satin was the light.
