the stalkerPosted by bluechameleon (Vancouver, Canada) on 28 January 2009 in Documentary & Street. A challenge from The Electroblog But this time, let's try something different: I'd like you to spend 3 days posting your best street photography in black and white. Street photography is generally understood to include images taken (usually - though not necessarily - of people) in a candid public setting such as a sidewalk, often with a normal to wide angle lens. So if you're interested, get out there and capture some decisive moments! If you are interested in participating, let me know through my contact link and I will add your name to the list when it's time. All Rights Reserved © Sharon Wish

Marcah from United StatesExactly what comes to mind or even, the werewolf is back :) Love the drama you have created. 28 Jan 2009 5:07am ordinaryimages from Kentucky Bluegrass, United Statesone would need a long and a short leg to stalk the area well. best...jerry 28 Jan 2009 5:27am Ivar from Indianapolis, United StatesGreat moody and smoewhat spooky picture, like the fact that its taken at an angle, gives it some added spookiness. Great work 28 Jan 2009 5:27am john4jack from Corvallis, United StatesYour title transforms the photograph. There is a brooding feel to it. 28 Jan 2009 5:54am Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandStunning, emotive and inspiring image:-) 28 Jan 2009 6:07am Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesYikes! The angle here adds to the sinister feel of this image. I know something bad is about to happen. You are an artistic genius. 28 Jan 2009 6:19am Lydie et Roland from BESANCON, FranceThis picture in the night is really nice... 28 Jan 2009 6:29am Mike from Lichfield, United KingdomThis is a great photo. I like the slanted angle you've taken it from. If I can get out over the next couple of days you can count me in for the street photography. I'll let you know. 28 Jan 2009 7:42am k@ from FranceGreat story here, somebody's chasing somebody else but not obligatory the one we think. Love that suspense mood. Even the image himself shivers and bends adding mystery with that play of foggy lights and deep darkness... And i love the idea you are the third chaser here ;o) 28 Jan 2009 8:18am zahai from Berlin, GermanyBeautiful, yet alarming capture and mood. Walking home through the dark, and hearing the tapping of feet behind you, just close enough to notice, but too far away to be able to turn around without feeding the paranoia...and what good would it do, it's dark anyway, there would probably be nothing to see... 28 Jan 2009 10:00am EYES WIDE SHUT from United KingdomThe menace felt from the observation of this photograph, made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. You really nailed the atmosphere here, Sharon. Awesome, as always 28 Jan 2009 12:55pm Cheryl from Texas, United Statesoh my, this does feel frightening. well done Sharon! 28 Jan 2009 1:20pm Doum from Saint-Alexandre, Quebec, CanadaInteresting shoot. Unusual and it has a lot of mater for thought. I dislike the bank sign, but not bad. 28 Jan 2009 1:33pm @Doum: Thank you for your comment and thought, much appreciated. I agree, I am not fond of the bank sign either, but trying to burn it out made a mess. I shot this lomo style, and wanted to stay true to that style and not 'fix' things up, bank sign and all :) Riccardo from - Giovinazzo -, ItalyJ'aime bien ce type de photo...ce n&b colle parfaitement sur cette image...Ciao Blue! 28 Jan 2009 2:10pm Liang from San Francisco, United Statesi like the tilt, because it adds a lot more interest to the shot! 28 Jan 2009 2:24pm Chris Cardelli from Charlotte, United StatesThere is definitely the beginning of a creepy story here. The off-kilter choice of composition really enhances the uncertainty. Nice. 28 Jan 2009 3:02pm BoB from Milano, ItalyCool, the first thing that I thought before reading the title was about stalker. I like the tilt 28 Jan 2009 3:18pm gelfoto from Madrid, SpainThis if that is a disquieting photography. The atmosphere is mysterious, the frame helps. Grz Sien 28 Jan 2009 7:43pm zOOm from Paris, FranceThe silhouette in the background makes me think of this old Dracula... very old Dracula (probably dated 20 or 30's)... german impressionnist film (I'm sure you know what I mean Sharon... ) So this image is just simply... thrilling ! Crop adds a lot too. 28 Jan 2009 8:33pm Rui from Leiria, PortugalWOW One of your very best. A night shot, the mist and the mysterious sillhoute on the background, all wrapped in a superb framing. The ghost of money?... 29 Jan 2009 12:51am baobab from Cambridge, United Statesbut the question is... were you stalking or being stalked? great atmosphere. 29 Jan 2009 12:57am dogilicious from Millerstown, PA, United StatesGreat shot.
