Cette brume donne une atmosphère très douce 6 Feb 2009 7:04am k@ from FranceBetween foggy mood and X-rays, the buildings are like some huge threatening parents judging a lil'gal stuck within her own nightmare... but she'll wake up soon and realize how tall she has become herself. 6 Feb 2009 7:29am gelfoto from Madrid, SpainSuperb. That fog is very well captured. The edificos are perceived and the black and white one, as always, is perfect. I like. Love it. 6 Feb 2009 1:01pm Ian from A nice, tranquil leafy place, United KingdomMy god, this is French Surrealism! ... it reminds me of a frame out of a Bunuel movie from the early 30s - brooding, absolutely dreamlike, a little unspecific, all of which I find fascinating. Very, very immersive picture - grand stuff! 6 Feb 2009 1:13pm vu@granby - Wolfgang from Granby, Québec, CanadaWe both have a photo of fog today, you in the city and I in the forest.... Great atmosphere in yours! 6 Feb 2009 1:18pm Polydactyle from Montreal, CanadaTerrifying. We do not know where we are and where we go. Is this the end of the world or the beginning of another. There is the time that has stopped. Great photo very evanescent. 6 Feb 2009 3:23pm Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesThis is such a dreamy image. It looks as though the buildings are about to make their move. 6 Feb 2009 3:57pm 10Fraction from Rennes, Francethe atmosphere is fantastic, the shot fabulous. What's going on at the bottom? Compression artefacts or processing of low dynamic levels? 6 Feb 2009 3:58pm Cricket from Huntsville, United StatesLovely! This is dreamy. The words fit the scene well. 6 Feb 2009 4:07pm EYES WIDE SHUT from United KingdomThe fog scalds my bare flesh as I wander the desolation of this nightmarish landscape. I am quite alone, though the ghosts of a city once vibrant and alive, haunt my every step. The buildings rise to the sky, disappearing like the hope I carry as a torch to the past and my heart feels heavy, ladened with expectations of failure as I search the landscape for any semblence of normaility. Am I dreaming? I pinch my flesh and close both eyes, hoping not to feel the sensation of pain, confirming the reality of the here and now..... An absolute jewel of a shot, Sharon, seen with such vision. Pure class 6 Feb 2009 4:14pm Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomIt's what we imagine through the murky haze that is most terrifying, a wonderful extraordinary shot. 6 Feb 2009 4:33pm Michael Paulison from United StatesOoooh.... nice. It would be a pleasure to get lost in such a city. Terrific photo! 7 Feb 2009 1:54pm Mobius Faith from Akron, Ohio,, United StatesThis is a five star image my friend. I love the light from above that elegantly flows downward through the image. The texture is phenomenal. The concealment of the hard details of structures gives this almost a futuristic feel. Interesting especially as I am just reading a book called "The World Without Us," that describes the fate of the cities once man is not around to delay the process of entropy. 8 Feb 2009 5:05pm Doum from Saint-Alexandre, Quebec, CanadaThe nuclear winter begin!
