“I experience a period of frightening clarity in those moments when nature is so beautiful. I am no longer sure of myself, and the paintings appear as in a dream”

Love how that great blurry effect echoes within me : life through what is the most life - movement, and here we don't really know if something is in deep movement in the picture or within us looking at it. As if we were in a car passing fast by these trees themselves... Something shaken and a strong wind (in the air but in our soul as well)... A sweet week-end for you ~

Vincent va Gogh was one of our famous painters of all time, I like your quotes with your pictures, they must be hard to find and you have to know your 'things' I do hope you understand what I mean by that.
Wonderful picture, the sun/shadow part is wel choosen.

@Astrid: Thanks Astrid. Yes, Vincent van Gogh is a favourite of mine, I like the way he viewed the world. I spent a lot of time in his museum in Amsterdam.
There is clarity amongst this confusion, one can still make out the structures. There is both stillness and movement to keep the eye interested

Very well done Sharon. Just enogh definition to allow the viewer to establish themselves, before roaming through the forest of confusion. A great composition.

it is an abstract where one flies .. alternating light and shadow holes that leave room for imagination to soar .. We do not need references, just watch and leave carry.

I feel terror, running at full tilt through the forrest, persued, hunted perhaps. Unsettling, uncomfortable viewing for me, but fascinating and compelling also. Great work as always, Sharon. You make my grey matter spring into overdrive

Very emotional capture along with the quote. The feeling of losing control.

Great blur effect, Sharon! The shapes of the trees still keep the idea of the surrounding, but make it feel like a dream.

I've seen similar shots but I can't recall one in black and white. Usually they're in color. The monochrome does really well here.
I've always liked these...could write on and on about why but I'll just shut up.

I like your abstractions, too ;) One can see what we want, tree, people, even a building reflection, this is a true abstract.
