Here the Pink Floyd lyrics enhance the emotion i feel. Don't want to comment further, just go back up there and admire. One that will linger in the mind....Although I have been likening your images to the work of Hitchcock this one I feel is more Bergman... 20 Apr 2009 7:50am P J W Miller from Chase Terrace, United KingdomVery Alfred Hitchcock, (The Birds), spooky, great composition 20 Apr 2009 7:52am Jason Kravitz from Brussels, Belgiumgreat silhouette effect against the puffy ominous sky - it is a great experiment of lines and form - I cross my eyes slightly and it makes all sorts of odd shapes and patterns - well done! 20 Apr 2009 8:12am Godo from Barcelona, SpainHi Sharon, 20 Apr 2009 8:20am yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, GreeceHitchcok is here - excellent image and lights 20 Apr 2009 8:30am xavier cardell from barcelona, SpainExcellent, and linking it to "The Wall"... The sky in this fabulous B&W shot seems to swirl and pull you into the vortex. A really nifty shot! ;-) 20 Apr 2009 11:44am Craig@Random Ramblings from Herts, United KingdomQuite sinister and the words reflect that mood perfectly. The texture really adds to the scene, I'm a big fan of good texture :) 20 Apr 2009 11:46am Marcie from United StatesI'd forgotten about that Pink Flloyd song. Very 'Hitchcock'-ian mage. Nice processing. 20 Apr 2009 11:48am Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomThis reflects nicely the evil reputation of crows . . hee hee . . they are among the most intelligent of birds and seem to know it. 20 Apr 2009 12:56pm Polydactyle from Montreal, CanadaTerrific shot and excellent treatment. It's funny because yesterday I was doing exactly the same type of photos (birds in the trees through the branches). When great minds meet! 20 Apr 2009 1:17pm sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesA scene straight out of a horror movie. Well done, Sharon:-) 20 Apr 2009 1:24pm Charles from New York, United StatesNice mood/composition with this shot. The sky is great. 20 Apr 2009 1:25pm Ajay from Pune, IndiaYou talent in mono shot is just remarkable but I love the way you've given perspective to this shot. I am still not able to figure out if the background is a sky or some barren land. 20 Apr 2009 2:13pm john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesWhoa! what a song!! Dynamite capture. You take us into the dark recesses of the unconscious. 20 Apr 2009 2:18pm Craig from Vacaville, California, United StatesSo dark and dreary! Wonderfully expressed! 20 Apr 2009 2:18pm Mike Paulison from United StatesVERRRRY Nice! Not quite a nightmare, but an ominous dream, that means something important if only you could figure it out in time. Adding the texture added to this feeling. Having that one landing bird really makes the shot dynamic. Really well done. 20 Apr 2009 2:58pm francesco from Italy...une merveilleuse atmosphère..... un peu ghotique..... fascinant... 20 Apr 2009 3:33pm Phototherapy from SwitzerlandI like ravens in the tree, in general. Here it's a bit "busy" and the back is special (texture?), to my opinion. 20 Apr 2009 4:35pm @Phototherapy: Thank you C! Yes, it is indeed busy, and I was trying to think of a way around that, but could not. So I decided to let it work in a way where it might be disturbing and maybe feeling one was trapped with these birds, and well....an imagination can take over from there. The fact that you felt that is good (to me), whether it is favorable or not :) Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, CanadaPink Floyd, Wow, those were days. An excellent capture to go with it. 20 Apr 2009 4:51pm Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesThey do appear to be hunkered in for the storm. Chilling - but excellent! 20 Apr 2009 5:22pm Philip from Joburg, South AfricaAH !! Black crow Silo very clever excellent shot indeed I really like this one :))) 20 Apr 2009 5:33pm Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesA dark and beautiful shot. Very scary image, and awesome in BW. 20 Apr 2009 7:34pm beanow from Warsaw, PolandThis looks beautifully, but a bit appallingly...how birds zwływały oneself on some bizarre conference .... 20 Apr 2009 7:58pm Ilan from IsraelI'm sure I'm not the only to comment that (so many comment to check :)) but it reminds me that Hitchcock movie. With those words you wrote, the photo looks even more "sinister" to me. 20 Apr 2009 7:59pm Ian from United KingdomFunny how in a 1-D image they're merely silhouettes, but wow they *do* look ominous. Fantastic picture, full of character. 20 Apr 2009 8:48pm Nataly from Santa Monica, United StatesAh, you are playing with the textures again :) Love it! Love this effect. You can do a great series with it. 20 Apr 2009 10:17pm Brian Chen from Seattle, United StatesDark, mysterious and scary. First three words that come to mind when i see this.
