This fern is just one of the many beautiful things I saw today while walking around Lost Lagoon. It was also a nice change from my usual city streets and alleys that I walk upon. After a rather hectic week this was just what I needed in order to embrace my inner-spring.

I'm with you... a little green refreshes you. I like this a lot. It seems as though the plant is reaching toward foggy glass. The color is extremely rich. The dof really gives the feeling it is reaching outward. Nice change of pace. You do color very well.

What I like more is that color almost in penumbra, but with green an intense one.

A very different work indeed, but it's also a success. I agree with KBR my first thought was that it's form like a vegetal hand. Like the tones and the hushed atmosphere, we feel in the privacy of the forest.

You're right, this is so very different from your street scenes, but this is so beautiful and soft. I think I caught the word "sensuous" in one of the comments as I was strolling down, and it is the perfect word for this image.
