Tammy-Cricket from United StatesOh...this is just amazing. The image. The setting. The processing. Very stunning photography. 13 Jun 2009 5:12am k@ from Paris, FranceI smile at the title/message... 13 Jun 2009 5:33am @k@: Thanks K! Yes, that is a bird on top, talk about sheer luck :) Standley from Carquefou, FranceFar from heaven even from far. You did a great processing job here! 13 Jun 2009 5:38am photo retouching from Spainwow, a lot of work in the darkroom for a stunning result! 13 Jun 2009 7:24am romine from bucharest, Romaniaawesome processing.. kind of dark for the scene you've present, but still great. well done 13 Jun 2009 7:51am Soe from Bangkok, ThailandVery interesting capture... looks like one of those old film captures... 13 Jun 2009 8:41am @Soe: Thank you. That is exactly what I was trying to express :) @Alessandro: Ha! I never thought of that, one way or the other. For me this is all about the creepy-spooky feel. I grew up watching scary movies and an old church was always a good backdrop...plus I could not resist the Sylvian lyric which to me is tongue in cheek :-) Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaWOW, this hits me right between the eyes...you have no idea! 13 Jun 2009 10:31am LESLIE from norwich, United KingdomGreat processing - works so well with the image 13 Jun 2009 12:57pm Jaol from Gijon+Canarias, SpainI can swear this photo unsettles me, is it fear the message? Yes, you've done a great wok on this. 13 Jun 2009 2:14pm @Jaol: Thank you Jaol...the message is about emotion, what one feels on whatever level. There is no 'direct message', only ones interpretation. Perhaps I should not have included a lyric or even a title. Hmmm. vu@granby from Granby, Québec, CanadaA very poetic photo, and the poem fits well! Bravo! 13 Jun 2009 2:57pm Liang from San Francisco, United Statesi like the touchup of this photo, very old-like! the vignette is gorgeous too. 13 Jun 2009 3:05pm Rian from mobile, United Statesbeautifully rendered image here.. nice capture! :) 13 Jun 2009 3:23pm grant from kansas city, United Statesexcellent. your processing works perfectly. 13 Jun 2009 5:13pm Marc from Montpellier, FranceVery nicely done, great atmosphere coming out of this picture. 13 Jun 2009 6:21pm Ken from United Statesblue, it feels like this image should be flickering on an old time movie projector as I watch with my family in our basement as a child. Now, if only my sister's head was in the way, it would be perfect! :) 13 Jun 2009 6:25pm hugo poon from hong kong, Hong KongThe bird, the form, the textures added... they're creating a unique intriguing and dreamlike mood! On an artistic point of view, Sharon, Heaven's in here. 13 Jun 2009 6:49pm john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesOutstanding photograph. Reflecting on the poem, most of Western Christian theology has been "Fall, Sin, Redemption" theology. There also is a theology imbedded in Orthodox Christianity and Celtic Christianity that is creation-centered theology. It sees all of life fundamentally as gift and blessing and basically good to the core. 13 Jun 2009 8:18pm Polydactyle from Montreal, CanadaGreat old effect for this one Sharon. I really thought that you had taken a Holga. 13 Jun 2009 8:45pm daina from New York, United StatesIt does not seem quite real and only the essential elements that identify it as church remain as if it were a cut out stencil. It has a surreal quality and light which is lovely. 13 Jun 2009 10:28pm Marcie from United StatesLove the dreamlike..ethereal quality to this image.
