I really enjoy this Orton effect, though I lack the words to describe what is does to the work...the closest I can come is that it softens the image....in any case this is a BEAUTIFUL dark moody black and white with those marvelous softened edges, too. I love it.

This is a depressing shot, I have to be honest, but in a Halloween/hunted house sort of way :) L.A. receives this type of low overcast clouds a lot during Fall and late Spring, which renders all things depressing and mildly spooky.

I came back to see this picture three times today! I love this image. I guess growing up in the South I am exposed to old homes in settings just like this. Something about this one seems peaceful, and not haunting. It is really a very touching image.
