Great shot of the steps in the square of your beloved city. The people walking in opposite directions past the sculpture is magical, a wonderful capture. Glad you are proud of your city, so many people only wish to escape their surroundings, to be proud is to be happy.

The blue stairs are cool all by themselves. Add the sentinel and you get drama too. This is a gorgeous image.

A superb icy blue (great rendering on colors Sharon)... must no be very convenient for ice skating... :-)
Woman and Man meet during a few second, indifferent to each other, while the great sculpture (I suspect a opened wing swan) stares at them... it's a beautiful piece of art indeed, looks heavy but it's so gracious, echoeing perfectly the nice and light structure of the stairs.
It was delightful to read you again Sharon.

I will never forget Winter Olympic Games in my city Sarajevo and how Sarajevo was beautiful as never before that. I felt great and proud as every other Sarajlia :)

I like the compositions in this bluish picture- the horizontal lines of the stairs, the triangle with the "figures", the slight diagonal of the bannisters- almost like a geometrical lesson. Great shot.
