what a rushPosted by bluechameleon (Vancouver, Canada) on 8 March 2010 in Documentary & Street. From February 12 to February 28, 2010 Vancouver is hosting the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. I welcome you all to see scenes from the streets of my beautiful city during this time. The glass wall on West Cordova Street at the foot of Gastown. I tried to get down to see the Olympic Cauldron that night but couldn't even get close... Check out the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games set at my flickr. Light and dark dancing together in a dynamic way. Have a very nice week, dear Sh* 8 Mar 2010 8:12am Craig@Random Ramblings from Herts, United KingdomSuperb shot and title, you have caught the sense of the rush perfectly. I particularly like the two figures on the right, an extended hand as if guiding through the crush and something alien about their outlines. Great stuff :) 8 Mar 2010 8:43am Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainGood compo and suggestion. Thanks! 9 Mar 2010 8:58am SOUL AFLAME from The bosom of Mother Nature, United KingdomSharon, my family over in Sidney and Vancouver made the trek down to take a look at the Olympic areas and had a real ball down there. We will be in my beloved favourite city, and your home in just a few weeks from now, though we deliberately chose not to arrive during the games as finding a place to stay and getting about would have been a nightmare. You put on a great show for the world and we loved watching it on TV over here. I was particularly cheering the Cannucks home to victory against the USA in the ice hocky finals.... way to go! As always, you've captured a superb image, with such a sense of flow and movement, the rush of adrenalin and crush of flesh. I'm not a crowds person, so I'm happy to be coming over at a time when I can walk day and night, sunset and sunrise with little hindrence. 9 Mar 2010 4:22pm Michael Rawluk from Williams Lake, BC, CanadaThat is another piece of magic.
