This image es striking ans sheming ! Verticality ? Horizontality ?
We want to raise the image to see the tree in ints vertical position such as he's in the nature ! I admire this reflection and this NB for which I have a real passion !

@dan: thanks so much dan. There is something poignant about a fallen tree, I feel it's sadness and beauty and hope that comes across.
Excellent. You have the gift. Well done. Giannis

@Giannis: Thanks for your thoughts. It is a concern of mine, I will admit. This image was also taken on a bright foggy day. I did try different things before deciding on the brighter of the whites as I didn't want too much contrast or mid-tones. I appreciate this, Giannis.
very great frame and idea for capturing this shot!

@amy: Thank you Amy. My original photo, before converting to black and white was, pretty much like this but with slightly warmer tones.
Nice work, I love the symmetry of the reflection and how this is composed with the horizontal part of the tree just below the halfway point.

@SD (Aspherical): Thanks so very much! I really like these sorts of surprises one comes across...in some ways I don't think we could set these 'scenes' up any better than what nature already provides for us.
Cheers to you!
This is lovely!!!
