I agree with dreamy effect Kylie talks about. Sharp and blurry at the same time. I like the effect a lot.

The tree is so regal, so respected, so full of memories, stories of lovers and children now returning as adults with memories to share and create. More than an impressionist image. Beautifully created Blue !!

@Matt Sutton: Thank you so much Matt. Do you know what? This is exactly what this area is...and I would come here with my family as a child, lots of memories here for me.
Tully amazing shot, I love the B&W in combination with the softness of the shot... definitely a fav !

@Erik: Thank you Erik! This is one of my favourite locations in the colder months. During the summer, however, it is filled with people.
@Lorraine: Thanks so much Lorraine!
Out of this world! So dreamy and creamy. Love it!

There is such a consistency in your b&w photos. Memories, images that run inside us bearing some resemblance to the reality outside. But what is the reality? What we see or what we imagine we see?

beautiful mystery here -- simply love that heavenly glow of the sky! the gentle droop of the willow tree adds a wonderful downward and moody motion here... and those velvet blacks you are so famous for... simply brilliant! an elegant and stunning composition! :)

Very beautiful soft focus image. May I ask if you used a filter or overlaid 2 images with different focus?
And as well I wanted to ask you Sharon, I just got my first Holga and I dodn`t know what is the best to transfer images to the computer. Do I need to scan the negative? Thank you

@Nataly: Thanks so much Nataly :)
It's just one image with a soft focus filter is all. I increased the contrast also to enhance the 'naked' tree.
You will love the holga! For me I scan the photos, and only because my scanner cannot scan negatives. For best quality though and if you can, I think that scanning the negatives would be better. I look forward to seeing your images!!
Lovely processing, the soft edges and deep tones are wonderful, as are al the shapes of people and trees.

Love the photo... ever since I was a kid I have found those type of trees to be somewhat spooky.. wild imagination when I was a kid I guess...
