I really enjoy the point of view and how you composed this picture with the grass "scratching" the picture making it even darker

mmm this is so beautiful. love the DOF. blurry gress makes its look like its moving in the wind. like how the stones glitter. u cant really see the stone but with the hint of light... nice minimalism

I agree Emily ! We're in the wind, blowing by... thanks to the blurred grasses in the foreground, and high and low contrasts really reinforce the power of this image. Well done.

Nice composition. The graceful lines of the tall grasses are very nice.
4 Nov 2008 1:46pm
At first i thought that the 3 lines were light rays...until i realise that it is actually the grass....if im not mistaken?

Really great treatment. Also love the work of the author you have quoted - especially his thoughts on marriage.

Excellent image with real movement of the grasses that suggests a cold wind, a lonely place, and a haunting whisper.

Atmosphere at its best . . love the flow in and through this.

The low point of view and peeping through the grasses is a good tease promising a glorious vista beyond. It's not always easy to get a photo this way but this one works very well.
