"The time is with the month of winter solstice
when the change is due to come
thunder in the other course of heaven
things cannot be destroyed once and for all
change returns success
going and coming without error
action brings good fortune
sunset, sunrise"

This is a tremendous image. The strong silhouette and the delicate puffy contrail are great contrasting elements. Great work as always.

I love Pink Floyd.. and I really like the blue here. It is so crisp and clear. It carries some honesty... The lyrics are just perfect for this shot, Sharon. Love it!

Title fits the image perfectly. I think you know that I really love your work, but I must say I keep going back to your "heartache" image - in fact has actually bookmarked it so that I can find it easily - I just cannot get over the whole feel and look of it.

You have another "winner" on your hands. Well done, well-titled. What else can be said? Bravo!

Interesting looking contrail. I love the gradient of the blue sky. Very nice shot.

Nicely done, BC. Perhaps a UFO made that! Scary!

Nice, very nice. The silhouettes and the tones are fabulous :)

Very expressive silhouettes on your photos, I like blurry "dreaming" post processing of them

I love the stream going cross! Very enchanting shot =D

Hooray for this celebration of winter darkness. Magnificent. And a tip of the hat to Pink Floyd.

Terrific image. The disintegrating jet stream reminds me of the sky writers I used to see when I was a kid.

This photo has an dreamy, otherworldly feel to it. Great shot.

beautiful--really love the contrasts of blue and white at work here; excellent line as well

OK, so I'm in Christmas mood, and I immediately thought of Santa's sleigh powering across the skyline with those rumbunctious raindeer at full steam ahead.. ha ha
A remarkable image, beautifully observed and presented

This is very cool I like how you have left a hint of color in there and it contrasts with the leafless tree. ;)

Great treatment, I LOVE your tilt, and all these holes of memory in the sky :)

I'm with Floog! Where's Prancer? The tilt is perfect to set the tone, and the color is just perfect to hold it.
I'm glad you connect this to Solstice. Do you walk a Labyrinth in Vancouver?
Would you be up for an invitation? I just issued an Am3 (INTER-FAITH) HOLIDAY CHALLENGE: Photograph something archetypal in your world that shows your Holiday season as it is celebrated (Solstice, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or ???). Post it on January 1st, 2009!
I'd love to see what you'd post for a challenge like this on New Year's Day, what do you say?

I love this one, among others by your use of the color, the deep color. Some of your ingredients are present, and always presented by a way " BC " and there naturally, I like these small steps which bring us towards the heaven Bravo ;)
