Beautiful shot! Lovely lines and composition with the silhouette of the girl.
3 Dec 2008 7:29am
It's quite a moody shot this one, I like the pov where the girl will exit the frame.

That girl... looks like a soldier in a dreamy game, walking on her thin path, and we can almost hear her think about the decisions she's making : "When I arrive in town........" and so on... Love that !

Very happy to discover your work. Thanks a lot for your comment on my blog yesterday. I love this B&W capture with the very eye-attrackting woman which gives a powerfull picture. Nice work

Love the way it looks as if all the different lines, as well as she, are heading towards the same destination.

Something there seems to be drawing her and our eyes to the left, and just outside the visible photo border. Really nicely done.

Walking off the memoriies of the past or walking towards a brighter future? So many possibilities. Wonderfully observed and presented

That girl indeed. A lovely moody image with wonderful light in the sky and on the water.

wonderful image. you're probably too young to remember the song "that girl." i can't hardly remember it myself. it might have been the theme to a t.v. show.
3 Dec 2008 3:51pm
@grant: Well...thanks to nostalgic TV channels one does not have to be any age to remember anything :)
Yes, it was a TV series and I've seen it, and I remember the 'flip hair-do' of the 'that girl' character, which is what immediate came to mind when I came across this woman walking. Thanks so much Grant!
This time, no memories, no dreams. Just determination.

I wonder if she has overdone it a bit with that bouncy shampoo?
3 Dec 2008 5:08pm
I really like the composition. It gives the shot a sense of movement.
3 Dec 2008 6:07pm
very nice picture, tells a story, probably a different one at each person.
3 Dec 2008 7:47pm
There's a neat story going on here, a thought provoking image, we wonder where she is going.

Love the mood captured in this photo and, of course, the images of Marlo Thomas of "That Girl" popping into my head.

I like the mood in this shot. She's like a puppet. Nice!

4 Dec 2008 2:15am
Wonderful framing and great fading light. Feels like the one that got away.
4 Dec 2008 3:23am
Photographic poetry. Very fine.

I she probably has no idea she's on the internet.
5 Dec 2008 12:32am
I seem to make typos in proportion to my age.

I like particularly the atypical framing of this one, it allows me to see this beautiful region, I am impressed by this big city at the edge of the water, in total opposition with the place where you are, a natural impression (to verify ?) in any cases, I understand that the girl takes the roads of distortion ;)

I come of seeing VFXY Weekly Themes photos, and your photo is one of that more I have liked.
Beautiful!
