We actually received some ice and snow last night:-) Tomorrow it's supposed to rise back to 45 degrees fahrenheit so it'll melt...
Love your capture. That bench seems as if it's calling for visitors. Beautiful capture.

What a cool shot. Love the lonely feeling this photo gives with all of the snow and the empty bench. Great job!

The solitude is inspiring. I can see my breath yet I am warm and cozy feeling at peace. That is what I see and feel anyway remembering past winters. Wonderful composition.

Beautiful!! i love the framing with the 2 trees and the lighting is great!! Is that someone sat on the bench on the left??
17 Dec 2008 6:45am
A naturally tree-framed bench (and silhouettes of a couple walking slowly on the left ?)... I can hear the scroutch-scroutch my feet would do if... but I'll stay still and silent myself, promised*

Pretty framing with the rule of the thirds… and environment as I like

Very spiritual. I would have called it "Solitude." Thank you for the ee cummings quote; it brought back lots of memories; he had a profound affect on me all through the 60s. Also good to see that you are using the classic D70, a great camera.

mmmmthe mood is soft, the air is cold, the bench likes its aloness...I love this Blue :)

Beautiful winter landscape! I'd like to play with snow ;)
17 Dec 2008 6:25pm
The bright snow blinds us. We can only see the white skeletons of trees against the black background.
17 Dec 2008 9:26pm
Interesting composition where everything is in the top half, good BW

The solitary feeling here is so strong. The distance makes me wish I could get closer, but I'd only find that what I wanted to be there is already gone.

I love ee cummings - your imagery does his prose great justice. Very nice on both of your parts.
