"Possessing all the beauty
Hungry still for more
Heaven holds a sense of wonder
And I wanted to believe
that I'd get caught up
when the rage in me subsides
In this white wave
I am sinking
in
this
silence
In this white wave
in this silence
I believe
I can't help this longing
Comfort me"

A wondrous scene, Sharon, beautifully framed and observed. Love the dreaminess of the image and those magnificent tall trees. Superb

Wonderful candid composition. The tones in b&w make him seem so lonely indeed.

Very stark and lack of grey adds to it, is he about to say hello.

Love the clear light in here : yes, solitude, silence, but nothing dark and threatening here since solitude has also its bright side. He'll find comfort soon, it's "written" in this light (well, that is what I do read :)

Really a dreamy look that captures my attention for a long time
12 Jan 2009 7:57am
A calm, relaxing mood. As usual your B&W speaks volumes.

You create some romantic and simultaneously mysterious images. The central personage gives much force to the photography.
Greetings

wonderful words, Sharon, and quite fitting to the scene; there's something about it, as roenlarre above said, that does beckon the viewer to consider the image for a time. nice balance here

vision froide et nimbée de brouillard, image solitude pour ombre solitaire, un B&W qui parle de mélancolie..superbe image.

...then one needs someone for comfort. This is a great catch of on human emotion every human being, at least, once goes through.

A lovely misty image and a great title which brings back memories. I remember in my younger days feeling so lonely I would count the days since I had spoken with anyone wondering if I had forgotten how to talk.
12 Jan 2009 3:10pm
I have never been lonely, except in crowds, this, this is very appealing to me ;)
12 Jan 2009 3:47pm
Wonderful composition. However, I must say that seeing the person with his cup of coffee (??) creates in me not loneliness but solitude. I am drawn into the scene and would love to be there alone.

Great mood. Great composition. Alone in the park. Loneliness? Maybe not. when I look at this photo the first thing that ocurres me is silence. Introspection.
