And too much of our time is taken up with work! So much of life is missed by the mundane necessity of work when we could be out there discovering, exploring, enjoying this beautiful planet.
A simply beautiful photograph, elegant and charming in composition with such lovely framing. I would have to walk up them, they beckon me inwards. Superb, Sharon

Beautiful view of the stairs. I bet they are tricky with the snow and ice...be careful climbing them!

la poésie sans les mots ..... on les invente c'est magnifique !

Beautiful words accompanied buy a beautiful photo, the B&W ads to the mood and it's almost a candid with the framing of the branches in the foreground.

This is so beautiful. You do such wonderful things with such simple subjects. You seem to look at everything as a photographer.

At first glance, I thought I was looking at some sort of shutters before relizing they actually were stairs. wonderful image and the words are so true.

Des marches dans l'hiver... Un lieu à haute tendance romantique ! Bien vu !

The quotes you find are always as interesting as your pix (and that's not that easy !) Love that duet of yours, at first sight I didn't see stairs but two shutters fell down in the snow :) Beautiful, anyway*

Great scenery and light, and a quote with quite some truth to it.

Very appealing image it really draws you in , I want to walk up those stairs and see what's there!

The resistance of the branches, of the vegetable with the araquiyectura, the steps, is perfect.

I actually thought I was looking at an entrance to a basement until I read other comments! very nice capture! SO cold!!
15 Jan 2009 12:51pm
Those steps look the kind that encourage over-caution . . and a consequent fall ! I like the sorta peep approach to this one.
15 Jan 2009 2:05pm
I really like this one, Sharon. The way you've captured it through the trees and while it's straight on, with the steps not centered in the picture, but balanced out with the tree I think it's an exceptional composition.

What an image of deep emotion and words of wisdom... together they've given a "meaning" to the world beautifully framed through your camera!
15 Jan 2009 2:44pm
Brilliant shot. Such shots are not easy to take. You've a very good observation power.
15 Jan 2009 2:46pm
The treatment given the steps really pulls the image to the next level...lovely composition :)

Lovely. Again, there's a sense of emptiness which perfectly captures the feel of this season. Love the way you saw this snap.

Hmmm... Mr Emerson nailed that on the head.
Love the starkness of this. Excellent b/w conversion, bc. Feels so cold and harsh.

i like this pattern you found, and you knew just what to do with it.

You're getting quite a following. I don't envy you trying to keep up with the comments. I can barely keep up with ten or so a day.
