Precious image. Intense the blue one is perfect. The tones purples of the horizon, engrandecen the photography.

Wonderful capture. Great mood and colors, and indeed, it's almost possible to feel the cold.

I like the blue tone as it adds to the over all feeling of cold. It looks like a lovely place to go for a stroll.

The ship leaving port and a man on his walk in silhouette. Tells the story of life on a blue winter evening. Wonderfully seen Sharon.

Great effect, you have given in blue. Looks very cold and quiet.

I use to prefer your b&w work (which is, for me, one of the best around) but this image has something...! Probably the blue tone, in this case, makes it even more cold than b&w... A great image!

The tiny trees, like people, looking at the silver reflection.

A perfecto combination of light and colors in this landscape in blue. I like it.

Nice blue tones, nice view and beautifully captured. :)

Wow, I like the blue of your photographs and in this one particularly. Your alternative composition leaves the commun run, and brings me several reflexions. the small character wedged in bottom on the right under this plugging white gleam (that you saved to us by to the minimum reducing it without drawing aside it however) is too often our destiny in this life. This bench empties in front of the landscape which requires to be useful to reassure us. And these distorted and starveling trees which are calls to the mutual aid. Then Bravo always
;)

@Pixim: Wow Pixim...thank you!
I just love the overall blueness of this shot.
19 Jan 2009 9:39pm
Even in colour, well actually blue which some say is the new black... you still have the desolate figure walking through the frame where we have no idea of where their heading, they might be searching for light which the clouds have robbed.

A poetic shot Sharon...the blue is fantastic...and this cold in your image is the opposite sensation of the cold...

I love the mood in this snap. The blue is so well captured and I really like the slight glow on the surface of the water.
19 Jan 2009 10:25pm
I like this a lot. Those cargo ships make it a lot more interesting to me, although it would've been fine even without them. Love the silhouetting.

What we can say after the lot of previous comments? The light, from the moon and sunset (or sunrise), is fantastic! Use HDR on this scenery and you can create a masterpiece. Bravo.

Bluer than velvet was the night, softer than satin was the light.
