"My life closed twice before its close;
It yet remains to see
If immortality unveil
A third event to me,
So huge, so hopeless to conceive,
As these that twice befell.
Parting is all we know of heaven,
And all we need of hell"

A white & foggy hole through which a tree/Life stares at us waiting for us to join... Love that indiscreet natural scene ~

That is a photograph worthy of a cemetery, Sharon. And Dickinson's poem is perfect. You take us deep into the unconscious to confront our own mortalitiy.

This is wonderful and really does have a cemetery feel to it. More importantly, you style shines through it. I no longer to see your name on a photo or thumbnail to recognize it as yours, even from a distance. Well done here and in carving yourself a place in our minds.

One of my favorite Dickinson poems is the one that goes something like this (and one of the few poems I more, or less, remember):
Much madness is the divinest sense to a discerning eye
Much sense the starkest madness
Tis' the majority in this, as all, prevails
Assent and you are sane
Demure, you're straightaway dangerous and handled with a chain
