excellent Sharon. the look on the face, the stride and the cold feeling from the wet ground develop the fear

So much mood here - the movement of fear is so strong and yet the photo so delicate - love the textures too, great pic (again, and... again :)

A great work. With most people here on Am3 we would speak about lack of focus etc. For your shots it is absolutely clear that everything to be seen here was planned the way shown. You manage to produce stunning images all the time...
18 May 2009 5:12am
Terrific photograph and text. It all comes together. You can feel the fear flowing out of the photograph. How in the world did you pull that off? Having a child as your subject is perfect for the Swedish proverb.
Bravo performance.

18 May 2009 9:18am
Powerfully engaging . . the little figure looks so vulnerable.
18 May 2009 10:23am
Thrilling ! Really looks as if she were followed by the devil himself (hope not in fact)... you've captured a great face attitude, full of fear and anxiety.
18 May 2009 10:54am
This is incredible. You couldn't pose a better expression of your title if you tried. Her expression and posture as she walks along, the appearance of the ground, the wetness, the stark bw, and the out of focus look to this all blend to create the kind of tension out of which fear does arise.
18 May 2009 11:06am

Woo, she does look scared. Aw, I love how half of her face is darkened, and half is blurry but you can still see her expression... Did you scare her?
18 May 2009 6:25pm
@Howard F.: She was startled by something, but it wasn't me. I just happened to be there. :)
Excellent dynamic composition and terrific mood! Great work!
18 May 2009 6:51pm
You scare the living daylight out of her, Sharon! What did you do? You know in some part of the world people think the cameras will capture one's soul into it.... :-)
It looks like she's by the water, did she just saw a sea monster? :-)
18 May 2009 7:03pm
@Ti: I'm really not that scary ;)
