Superb capture and composition. Terrific Browning quote. This photograph does evoke a lost soul feeling.

looks like it was a fine structure in it's day. i like how you've only included a portion in the frame.

Even when houses are empty and decaying, I always find it sad... I feel life from the past as if walls were restraing people's life... their daily gestures, their talks... no easy to explain.

A house with spirits perhaps!!!

It's a kind of uneasy feeling when I look at this picture. The mood is very sad and gray. It's a good capture!

There is a sense of mystery about this shot. It is almost as if the real picture is just around the corner of the house. Well done Sharon! ;-)

We know ever since the outcome of that dream, but we never got used to it.

@Ronnie 2¢: I'm glad you caught that. It's actually what is left of an asylum for the mentally insane.
I hate to see abandoned houses because of the lost souls! Moody as usual and exceptional!

I think I need to move to Vancouver. Such a cool old building, for which I kind of have a passion. Love the backlighting, creating such a beautiful glow.

The most intriguing part is that line sticking out of the house. Feels like you can just tug on it and the entire house will come town. Nice shot.

the dark ambiance is intriguing.
I find the artefacts of your treatment in the sky disturbing. I often have the same problem darkening the sky that way.
