I like the grain. Feels like I should be looking for the Loch Ness Monster.

BEAUTIFUL ---- well done for trying something new

And now it's a new beginning. A second streched into infinity.

This has such a lovely, dreamlike quality to it. Simply gorgeous. Beautiful light, too.

Just as k@ says, like an image from childhood, the colour reminds me of the hundreds of kodachrome slides we used to have, I really love this!

Dreamy!!! Gorgeous landscape. Love the processing...the subtle tones and colors...the graininess and blurr.

Un voile de douceur envahit l'écran ... Superbe image !

You've have masterly matched the sentence to the photo, giving to this the touch of irreality needed...Original and creative.
21 Jun 2009 9:23am
Like those vintage Kodak paper photographies. Tide endlessly up and down.
21 Jun 2009 9:29am
made me remember my mothers photos from childhood.. nice quote too.
21 Jun 2009 10:10am
Wonderful PP treatment to give the shot a dreamlike quality. Well done Sharon! ;-)
21 Jun 2009 11:44am
@Eric Cousineau: Thanks Eric! But...there is no PP here, it's a straight scan from a print. This is a pinhole camera shot.
Great Holga shot. Tones are wonderful. Great one Sharon!

I'd like to be there walking along. So subtle and with the softness seems elusive.

What an amazing 60's feel picture... love the low resolution and "grain" too... must be reminding me of the happy childhood! Thanks for sharing such beautiful work my dear!

blue, I am on the fence about this one. ..The blurry fence! Personally, to me it is good subject matter and I see what you were doing, but my eyes just want to put it in focus. :)
21 Jun 2009 2:31pm
@Ken: Thanks Ken, and fair enough. You may want to squint your eyes for the other pinhole shots that I will post then, as I have yet to get one 100% in focus. I guess this will take time as I know it can be done :)
Wonderful processing - I feel like I am looking at a very old photograph and I like the title! Great! The other thing that adds additional interest are the two large ships on the horizon! Great!

You transport us into the mystical wonder of the tides. The ocean is our primordial home.
21 Jun 2009 4:28pm
Reminds me of some old fade out Polaroid photos...such a beauty!
21 Jun 2009 6:09pm
It has an ocean feeling, feels like there is a lot of water on the eye and looking out.

invitation au voyage, traitement poétique superbe ^^
21 Jun 2009 7:10pm
Looks like a shot out the 1950's! So cool.
21 Jun 2009 9:11pm
Very very cool ! All it's defaults make it's quality here. Great shot.
21 Jun 2009 10:17pm
splendid!! this could be an early childhood memory of mine -- on the seattle coastline fishing at age 11!! marvelous!!!
21 Jun 2009 11:25pm
excellent photo. makes me want to do some pinholes.
22 Jun 2009 1:18am
Very true words that go perfectly with this image. Your processing leaves me with a nice nostaligic feel.

22 Jun 2009 4:18pm
Just looove the smeary and grainy texture. It's like waking up from a nap at the beach and my eyes are all dry and cannot focus :)
22 Jun 2009 11:06pm
Captivatingly ephemeral. Love the surreal atmosphere.
24 Jun 2009 2:31am
