@Lylou & Roland: Thank you! I say why not everyone celebrate, we can all celebrate the birthdays of each country :)
Now that's a Canadian image. And how about when k.d. lang sings that song on her album Hymns of the 49th Parallel? It's the best. Love how you framed the flag in a red building.

That smoothy red and white framed that way are really soft - never visited your country (yet) but I hope I'll do that one day (and especially Vancouver island). Nice tribute*

Happy Canada Day to you Sharon - and good to see a quote from one of my all time favourite songs.

@dobbino: Thanks Rob! Leonard Cohen is a favourite of mine as well. Cheers!
It seem like you had little light for this shot. It's almost a night shot. Good job!

@xavier cardell: Thank you...yes, it was a day of low lighting.
I have never been there, but love it all the same. I love the smoothness and softness of this one. Perhaps it reflects the sweet feelings you have for your country.

Yours is a beautiful flag, and I like to see it. I've been many times in Canada teaching.

I really like the soft focus in this image and lack of contrast. Very well done. This effect makes this image looking an artistic statement.

My imagination is getting the better of me, I picture this a hotel window like the Chelsea in New York and Leonard Cohen has put up the flag for Canada Day. But I really can't seem to see him doing such an act of tribalism. :D
