A brilliant work on lights and shadows Sharon. The ocean likes mercury or silver. Great crop as well.

Gorgeous B&W. Looks like you caught someone in an unguarded moment deep in thought.

Geez, this is a heartening treatment for my morning ! Love the man (his outfit), the dark "fabric" of seashore (yummy) and the large part you let to Whiteness ! So many feelings in an apparently simple shot... One of my fav here ! (and i even can hear the clip-clap-clop of the water :)

Beautiful high-key shot. Loneliness and peace all the same...

A man between dream and reality, night and day, looking for his way through water and sand... Contrasts and treatment really convey the impression to wade in a kind of... swamp, water nearly looks like oil - a beach afrter black tide... (we all struggle in a kind of swamp, but sometimes with joy ! :) really like this beautiful and powerful picture (i could write that each time i come back here)

Terrific composition. The processing is superb; it definitely creates the right mood. Love the quote.

Absolutly wonderful strong contrast. It feels well the loneliness of this man at the immensity of the sea. Great one!

Wonderful moody image. Reminds me of a charcoal/pastel sketch. Love the swirls and shapes the water forms.

he still seems a bit tentative, i'd like to shout out to him "get in the water already!" :D great shot! :)

What beautiful mood has been captured and is being conveyed! The light, the contrast, the patterns, the forms, the composition and the body expression of the man... all these were blended perfectly! One of my recent favs!

you're right about the high contrast. I like the way the darkest and lightest areas of the image also have very different textures--the water and the sand. wonderful capture.

The sea has a special fascination for most of us, and you have captured this in his pose. Beautifully processed.

It's his thoughtful expression, posture, what entertains my eyes and my thoughts too. What will he be thinking of? Pondering decissions? Life is so hard nowadays! Wading before sunset keeps me alive...you've catptured such a special moment!

I like the melancholy feel to this. Seems like a cross between photography and artwork. I like that.

This is very artistic, its not very often I like to break the rules with INTENSE contrast but it works wonderfully here.
