I have recently gotten a lomo LC-A camera so the next series of shots will be in colour, which I realize is highly out of character for me :)

An exquisite picture Sharon, lovely, peaceful and a bit dreamy with the add of vigneting and this criss crossed processing. An english garden, for me, at its best !

@Rui: Thanks Rui :) Well out of character because it's mostly black and white I shoot, and my first roll of lomo film that I shot was colour.

"Feel like my soul has turned into steel / I've still got the scars that the sun didn't heal" (Bob Dylan)
What a beauty ... my scars will be healed looking at this great picture. It will take weeks to work myself through all this beauties. But I know now that it will be weeks of pleasure. Glad your comment lead me to this garden of amazing pictures. It's so beautiful! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

If Holga is the medium format toy camera, LOMO has to be THE original 35mm toy camera. I think it can give you picture quality beyond the toy label. An extremely fun camera to play with. Enjoy. Nice shot!

A beautiful one Sharon. Certainly not in your habits, but it is superb. You can then reach to all forms of photography!

Oh Sharon, what a feeling, I adore this, old French Country charm, wow, and the title : perfect!!!
7 Aug 2009 11:40am
The effect is really magical. It's not the camera alone, of course, but your particular vision of the world as seen through it. By the way, I've come to this post backwards from the next two, and didn't realise that they were from a lomo.
7 Aug 2009 12:04pm
@Andrew Gould: Thanks so much Andrew :) I suppose I ought to have left the blurb that this was a lomo series in the rest of the posted photos. Hindsight.
This is a magic shot! It went through my eyes to my heart and it made me sighhhhhhh with pleasure!

even though in colour it's still your style! :)) This is just breathtaking! The tones, framing and post editing are superb!
14 Aug 2009 11:23pm
Yes, out of character, yet character building --especially of vision. I think taking steps like these is like discovering one's love for imagery all over again, hence your title. Saw the recent color lomo and LOVE IT!
18 Aug 2009 5:55pm
LOMOs are fantastic!!! such etherial color! faaabulous!
24 Aug 2009 5:35pm
Isn't this just the way we see things?! That initial smash of impression, blurs of forms and colors, an ambiance--and our mind records it--with bit of haziness--and we know we've seen beauty. Very nice!
