A superb B&W, lovely clear quality...and I agree, your subject does look to be the little monster. I will assume he is play-acting! :-) Well caught!
28 Aug 2009 5:16am
Yeah ! He really's got the look of a naughty boy ready to make a stupid thing
28 Aug 2009 5:36am
Lool.
Well done; And I don't want a one like this.

28 Aug 2009 5:57am

First stages of mutation...Little boy unfortunately put his worst expression.
28 Aug 2009 7:47am
ha ha, yes, he is not very happy with you snaping his face :-)
Very funny picture inspite of his terrible attitude
28 Aug 2009 8:18am
Caught at the right moment - one second later he probably was a nice young boy again - excellent documentary of a short term transformation
28 Aug 2009 8:50am
Ah, just excellent ! I'm totally fond of this picture, not only the lil'monster face but the whole frame and how each head is cut within the fabric of your photograph ! Like the story on humanity expending by layers like a fan opening up ! WOndErfUl*

"Oh, people are shouting, people are freaking / I'm just staring at the ceiling / Waiting for the feeling / Oh, oh but when she calls / I know she's the one / Makes me want her harder / Makes me want to be a little stronger / Still I see monsters" (Ryan Adams)
Yeah, the monster within us & I'm really fighting back. Every day. I love the frame & the shadows. But what makes this one very special are the tones that give me the feel you can look right through me & finding all these little monster. No resistance anymore. Great feel to it, beautiful composition, great picture, Sharon! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Super capture Sharon! This wonderful B&W takes me back to my childhood and the adventures of "The Little Rascals". Well seen and captured! ;-)
28 Aug 2009 12:07pm
Lol! What a call back the past! Such a delightful capture!
28 Aug 2009 12:37pm
I sense a lot of tension in this shot. The woman is so concentrated and her face is so tight. And the lid is ready to grab a light saber. Great capture, Sharon...

Nice quote and such dead on capture. Seems that the fight begins at a young age! I see this face a lot on my kids. Seems to be a classic when you don't have anything to chew on and don't know what to do with your mouth.
The light is marvelous, but you knew that already!
28 Aug 2009 3:05pm
Perfect capture in every way. Great lighting and b&w, to say nothing of your impeccable timing.

28 Aug 2009 9:50pm
Wow The expression of this face is particularly fascinating. In complete contrast with his father (?). Great one Sharon!
28 Aug 2009 9:54pm
Yikes! And funny at the same time. But the quote is haunting, along with this little wolfie's expression.
29 Aug 2009 12:19am

Cute title Sharon. Love the lighting on the two faces. Just amazing how you use light and shadows in your compositions. Excellent work!
29 Aug 2009 3:41pm
The omen within...especially with that look from his eyes...
I bet it would be even more powerful if you cropped out the parents (?) and show just the boy....
29 Aug 2009 3:59pm
lol! i see what you mean.. he looks like a young dracula.. :D nice shot!
29 Aug 2009 6:23pm

30 Aug 2009 8:32am
blue...so interesting what we see in the World. I wish our eyes could be little cameras and when we blinked it captured all we saw in a 4X6 print. :)
30 Aug 2009 3:37pm

30 Aug 2009 6:48pm

The selective lighting and the expression on the kid's face is beautifully captured.
31 Aug 2009 11:57am
Beautifully captivating!!! Such an adorable little boy, yet the strange expression... heightening the image are that amazing light and layers of faces behind him! So wonderfully spotted and decisively captured! Love this Sharon!
31 Aug 2009 11:59am

31 Aug 2009 3:06pm
What a catch !! I like his expression and placid faces behind him, quite symbolic (your quotation is so relevant) Great great great ! :) I 'm always delighted my visits here.
31 Aug 2009 5:17pm
with respect to your quote... it's not clear who's winning in this shot!
31 Aug 2009 9:40pm
You've captured a really diabolical expression. This could almost be a ad poster for an horror movie.
1 Sep 2009 3:44am
An awesome image! I have 4 of those sometimes in my house! Your timing is perfect on this and it is great in black and white - it has a dark feel to it!
1 Sep 2009 4:41am
Trop chouette cette grimace !!!! Juste envie de faire pareil !
1 Sep 2009 8:48am
What a perfect shot and caption to match. I am still laughing!
2 Sep 2009 3:23am
With a long lens, eh? I was just commenting with a fellow here how it allows for some very unique catches of human expression, even thought. The person is so busy being himself/herself and completely unaware of that distant eye. Nice work, Sharon.
3 Sep 2009 6:21pm
nice catch and good timing. Bit a freaky expression on the kid his face
7 Sep 2009 9:12am
Never have I seen a quote matched so perfectly to a photo!! FABULOUS!
9 Sep 2009 10:25pm
Incredible contrast between mother and child, with the latter in the spotlight.
12 Sep 2009 3:55pm
Excellent, the child gaze is incredible! A great, great image. If you could remove the second face behing, it would be perfect, but I'm against retouching that much :)
