20 Oct 2009 5:29am
is that an entire wall of punk rock posters? how cool, and i like the line of people on top of them, it makes some sort of statement, even tho i'm not quite sure what it's saying :) great shot tho!!!! and i'm so glad you are feeling better!!!
20 Oct 2009 5:31am
A very strong image Sharon - you have controlled the exposure beautifully .... so glad you are feeling a bit better, it really takes a lot out of you ...
20 Oct 2009 5:32am
People will have their expression one way/one place or another. Good catch.
Hope you don't get up and around too soon...before you are fully recovered...no relapses allowed !
20 Oct 2009 5:44am
this wall is fantastic. the high contrast in this photo is nice too.
20 Oct 2009 7:00am
Love those bicycles and the posters below. Very cool bw!
20 Oct 2009 7:12am
Very urban. A very good taking with those divisions in levels and almost in subjects and concepts. Black and white the skillful one
A hug
20 Oct 2009 7:16am
Beautiful shot!! I love the post processing.
Glad you are feeling better :)
Take care
20 Oct 2009 7:39am
wonderful image - the split works to create the intrigue. what is going on? where is this? what's out of frame? sorry to hear you've been ill and glad you're better. Also - I quit the Twit (incase you wondered where I'd vanished to). I wouldn't recommend it for the detrimental effect it has on blog traffic! But I'm just wanting to cut down 'screen time'. I loved your recent colour picture too - a rare excursion into the rainbow for you!

Ok, I'm the one with a wet smile today now :) ... Ah, how soothing to have such true sharing between us, my dear BC (for Beautiful Captures, alwayzzzz :) and I'm happy the bad flu decreases at last.
A zillion sincere thanks for your over-kind words above and for this 2 storey-story we enjoy a lot.
The upside down bikes make it so strong and since i just love story-telling pictures (my fav), this one is a gift in all senses : a real hero (the striped pull over guy), many guests (the dark silhouettes), a drama under the lines (the terrific wall of torn posters I love the textures of) and those head over heels bicycles like wild mustang horses neighing behind this city-corral :)...
So many modern fairy tales to dream about. That's the great photographer signature. I jump with joy .~

I could be perfect for a rock'n roll cover album in fact. Yeah, a very rock'n roll photography for me ! Thumbs up Sharon. You always amaze me.
And I'm glad to see that you are feeling much better.

Nothing can go wrong, I'm staying healthy & I'm feeling strong with this beauty of yours. That is a terrific composition with a great folk song feel to it. That is my prescription: Your great photographes, old folk songs & a cup of tea. A great picture that goes straight to my heart; Sharon. Thanks for that. All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

So glad to hear that you are feeling better. I have been away for almost a week; so have been out of touch. Terrific photograph today. You and Mariana are competing for stuff up on the wall!! The Foley quote is right on the mark. (The primary thing that I appreciate about Am3 is the international community.)
20 Oct 2009 2:42pm
Forgotten corners of many cities, the perfect treatment to express yourself.
Greetings!
20 Oct 2009 2:53pm
I have a soft spot for grafitti and old torn posters but I think what really does it for me is the guy in the striped sweater who appears to look right at you, us me from the top. Very very cool!
20 Oct 2009 3:26pm
Very interesting composition, looks like two photos in one, it really takes some time of the observer. I like it.

Fascinating capture of this interesting wall, like how you used the lighting and dark contrasts in this image. A great perspective along with the people really create a unique and powerful composition.

21 Oct 2009 1:39am
glad to hear you are on the mend. i like the strong horizontals and verticals in this - it's two separate spaces and yet the image feels so integrated. hope this makes sense.
21 Oct 2009 1:47am
A wonderful double layered image in your own unique style, Sharon.
I'm just catching up on your last posts now, and so did not know you'd been ill. Glad you're on the mend now!

Really pleased to hear you are doing better. I hope you come through completely soon. Was it the famous H1N1?
Spectacular composition...simply draw-dropping execution of subject matter and pp.
21 Oct 2009 7:27am
@Luis A. De Jesus R.: Thanks Luis :) They are not testing to see what flu people are coming down with, but for me, flu is flu so it really doesn't make a difference because either way you get very sick and hopefully recover. I'll still take the flu shot when it's available (and I have fully recovered) though :)
Great to know you're better:) This is a great composition...the exposure management is superb with such a wealth of detail...great work!
21 Oct 2009 8:07am

A fabulous shot with so much to offer! Glad you're better. Flu is ugly stuff!
21 Oct 2009 2:27pm
Nice urban shot. Dramatic contrast with that man that looks on. And the ballet of the bikes waving high forbidden to make the jump. That wall is just rock'n roll!
21 Oct 2009 3:53pm

21 Oct 2009 9:12pm
Oh my GOSH, look at all those flyers on the wall. This looks like the city's fortification, and the people inside the fortress look at you with strange gazes... Nice shot.

Nice shot, again I recognize this spot instantly, love it! Hope you are well soon!
22 Oct 2009 2:26am
I'm so glad to hear you are on the road to recovery - I hope you are feeling 100% real soon. This is such a cool photo, from the bikes propped up on the railing, to the man watching you take the photo, to the writing on the wall below them - and such an interesting wall. Fantastic!
