Quelle lumière et quelle atmosphère. Des noirs profonds des blancs pas cramés c'est assez virtuose au service d'une belle idée. La lumière ou le banc nous avons tous le choix.

Oh ! I was talking with Aurore about flares, telling her I don't really like them except when they "mean" something, and, geez, here it's the perfect illustration for me of gorgeous it can be ! Like a whole new planet emerging at his side, love the "powder" of this light and how it bumps into the bench to illuminate it. Totally dreamy photo, love your tale (again), Sharon - and thanks for sharing such clever quotes too*

Love it love it love it !! Three times and it's not enough believe me, i love this dreamy atmosphere and that strong light on the left like a new horizon, but only if the guy is ready to look at it and... let love rule (hey Lenny, kiss to you !) For the moment, he's just facing the forest of his inner questions. Love your title too, and your quote of course, this shot makes my rainy day suddenly sunny and light because it is so luminous in all the senses that exists. Thanks a lot Sharon.

Marvelous image. Fabulous Rumi quote. He is exactly right.
3 Nov 2009 3:09pm
"He hears the ticking of the clocks / And walks along with a parrot that talks / Hunts her down by the waterfront docks where the sailers all come in / Maybe she'll pick him out again, how long must he wait / Once more for a simple twist of fate" (Bob Dylan)
Sharon, what a great composition. If you could only see my tears of joy looking at such a beauty. Brilliant storytelling, masterly framed & I'm running out of words. You made my day. Thanks for that! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
3 Nov 2009 3:33pm

I hope life is treating you great. I know we've both been on the run with very little time to cross paths. I hope you are feeling much better now. I know when I get sick, it sets me back for weeks. :)

ah, i missed these kinda photos of yours :) gloomy emo people/murderer in the park.
your usual boy in a hoodie (well, from my impression there were many boys in hoodies in your photos, or that one photo stuck) has grown up and progessed to suits it seems

Une superbe ambiance nocturne d'automne!!
On entend crisser les feuilles...Suspense!
4 Nov 2009 6:48pm
Superb! The dreamlike and dream sensations have been felt and recorded. The quote fits your vision really well. i don't see a path beyond wherehe's heading but the best is that i don't see him stop either for that matter. That's the feel I like about that wonderful vision. The flares are bliss.
Bravo!
Good Day to You Sharon.

Great B&W, the light is good and the highlight on the bench is superb.
4 Nov 2009 11:39pm
Ahhh, the quote is beautiful, so powerful.
The light coming from the left, the human figure near the center convey to me a sense of mystery and suspense. Almost like some alien encounter...I guess I've watched to many SciFi flicks.
I hope you are feeling better, Sharon.
5 Nov 2009 2:01am

5 Nov 2009 1:59pm
Do you use the expression "between dog and wolf"? great shot.
5 Nov 2009 3:38pm
I really like the atmosphere and the particles in the atmosphere. I like that big halo above the person's head, as if the person is saying something but no word comes out. The shadowy figure is both eerie and mysterious- friend or foe... Nice shot.

Hi Sharon,
Your pics amaze me day after day. Five stars ;o)
Love the diagonal compo, from up left corner (light) to down right corner (bench).
The partial illumination of the leaves creates a scene full of mystery and tension. Excellent sensitivity to compose the atmosphere.
Just brilliant.
