great abstract, looks like looking into a puddle

But I can see clearly through it! and find it lovely!
Should I feel concerned about it? :))
Good Day to You Sharon.

This distortion is wonderfully achieved...it makes a beautiful, artful design.
(Unfortunately, we know that Silvia Plath never did make it "out of the mind," except by death at her own hand. So sad and unfortunate.)

Wow it looks like it´s shot through water somehow. Artistic, great tones. It´s all there. Both calm and alarming at the same time. Great compo!

Like this alot. GIves me the creeps - reminds me of several things...membranes, tendrils of hair from a j-horror, nghtmare killer weeds, veins and bloodclots...
yuk, but erm, nice!

Very nice work on this abstract with good contrast and a dark feel to the image. I think this matches perfectly the thoughts expressed in the poem by the author!
9 Nov 2009 11:10am
Wow, a difficult question and impossible answer :))
The illustration is very good thinking in the world of Sylvia Plath...

"I wish I had a Sylvia Plath / Busted tooth and a smile / And cigarette ashes in her drink" (Ryan Adams)
This is not only all about the poetry of Sylvia Plath but this beauty of your is pure poetry, Sharon. I want to get lost & I don't want to be saved. Just let me drown in this grace & greatness. I love your compositions & this one is really outstanding. Great! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Really great artwork - thats what shows me how a photograph handles his gear. Fine my friend!
9 Nov 2009 1:22pm
Love the light in your work in general (deep blacks, luminous whites...) and here I feel them (B&W) almost liquid, not that I felt those trees arms in water but more as if I had tears in my eyes and my hair in the wind... Moody & elegant Sharon (no comma on purpose before "Sharon" ;)
9 Nov 2009 1:33pm
Wow! Its like looking out of someone's eyeball from behind it! Scary, yet unique.
9 Nov 2009 1:51pm
Minimalist and (in an emotional way) disturbing... Strong shot!
9 Nov 2009 2:03pm
This is so artistic and ...well....abstract, I love it! A dreamy and, with Sylvia's words, thought-provoking image.

Follow-up: There are three gateways out of the mind. I try very hard to practice each of them on a daily basis, although it is difficult to do.

I like the ziggity zaggity approach here on this shot. it really gives me the feeling of distortion, or not knowing what's going on. =]
10 Nov 2009 11:25pm
It's like you're about to be immersed in a world of abstract and mystery. Nice shot.
11 Nov 2009 12:09am

This picture makes me think about "The gray tree " of Piet Mondrian . Superb !
11 Nov 2009 6:45pm
I try to forget the quotation and to focus only on your shot... at first sight it looks like branchs but your close-up suggests a lot of interpretations like veines for example... but indeed a vision distorted by rain or tears, bad feelings or false ideas, and no way seem to be obvious or clear, neither they go somewhere. Most of the time we are just who we are, no more than that "that" and we can't anything else than to cope with ourselves.
11 Nov 2009 8:18pm
Without looking at the quote the first thing I thought of was the mind and the interconnected neuropathways, but there is a sense of conflict here; that is, of inner struggle. Very creative approach without compromising compositional strength.
12 Nov 2009 1:14am
Love the 'weird' abstract-ness of this. Lovely shot, disorientating but strangley soothing
12 Nov 2009 1:44pm
You have such a good eye. Great shot, a piece of art.
14 Nov 2009 8:57pm
Happy to see that you stay so sensitive, from abstract to a deep feeling of infinite...
Really beautiful, Sharon
