The mesmeric detail of the majestic tree fills my eyes, and only after a while of examining the limb like branches and beautiful fog rolling in, do I notice the bench and strolling person, and the sheer scale of the tree herself. Acheingly beautiful, hauntingly impactive in mono, I almost expect her to begin moving at any given moment. As always, Sharon, a true gem.

wow!! what a creepy tree picture!! like sleepy hollow or somefin'.... i wouldn't want to be that person walking there, for fear the trees might make me one of them :)
9 Dec 2009 5:07am
What a most beautiful image!! I read you interview online.....fantastic!!!
9 Dec 2009 6:21am
One can dream about what lies beyond the trees. Very thought-provoking !
9 Dec 2009 6:21am
Another of your poetic and lyrical pictures- so full of feeling and possibilities to give my own expression to.
9 Dec 2009 6:29am
Tu as des rêves qui me plaisent ! Bonne journée.

9 Dec 2009 7:00am
wow! very beautiful.
it should be called: " the dead beauty"
very well done!
9 Dec 2009 7:57am
How beautiful.... For me, this is one of the very Bluechameleonesque image kind : a mood with a soul, Mother Nature in its most marvelous mist and a character (human life) crossing...
You exist, therefore we dream ! ;)

@k@: You make me smile Karine...thank you :)
Very great image with this fog and the silhouette of the tree in the middle. A dreamy image for my waking up.
9 Dec 2009 8:10am
This has some mood it. It has that scary, freaky mood but it also kinda shows that it is still habited by man. The person walking in the picture did that. It also gave out the scale showing how big this tree must be. Good capture!
9 Dec 2009 8:17am
A wonderful and magical image with these silhouettes. A dream indeed!
9 Dec 2009 8:19am
Preciosa.
Saludiños

You have a great eye for excellent composition! I love the creepy mood in this and many of your images. Really unsettling!
9 Dec 2009 9:05am
I like the quotation ! You know why, I guess. I'm a constant dreamer. Can't help it.
A great foggy mood, and impacting vision, where everything and every story is possible.
9 Dec 2009 9:43am
@zOOm: Thank you Florence....you and I both. It's part of who we are.

9 Dec 2009 12:53pm
A beautiful dream of a gorgeous tree, those branches are really amazing and I like the little person walking out of the frame.
9 Dec 2009 1:04pm
Great shot, I love how the atmosphere lends this a softness. The figure walking completes this composition.
9 Dec 2009 1:33pm
I like the naked trees silhouette and the lonely man
9 Dec 2009 1:41pm
@Daniel: Yes...they do have a certain attitude this time of year. Thanks Daniel :)
L'homme ramené à son échelle! Mais il faut que ses rêves grandissent et se lancent comme un arbre à l'assaut du ciel...
Bonne journée lumineuse!
9 Dec 2009 2:48pm
The mist so as to disturb the quietude of the tree that seems to raise his arms in the air! trembling and alone! It's beautiful!
9 Dec 2009 2:52pm
This has a lovely, ethereal feel to it, and at the same time is a bit spooky. I'm sure that is just a jogger in the lower right, but he seems to be fleeing the scene - perhaps in fear of what is after him.
9 Dec 2009 3:00pm
like blood vessels carrying nutrients from the ground into the sky...!! a faaabulous and misty mood -- love the wide angle! gorgeous Sharon!!
9 Dec 2009 3:38pm

9 Dec 2009 4:00pm
Terrific. I love the person and the bench. Superb silhouettes. Wonderful quote.
9 Dec 2009 4:02pm
Wonderful but produces a certain uneasiness. A dream of a protagonist. The silhouette that disappears like a ghost! Greetings Adela
9 Dec 2009 4:37pm
The stark tree is very effect all by itself, but with the tiny person in the image for scale, the image becomes even stronger. Very well done.
9 Dec 2009 4:45pm
Outstanding visual documentary and fairytale.
9 Dec 2009 5:04pm
I like the patterns on the main tree branches and the fog! The contrast is great in this between the tree limbs and the fog!
9 Dec 2009 5:23pm
Poetic tones. Well done. I feel at home here although I haven´t been there.
9 Dec 2009 5:24pm
Magnificent tree, beautiful form with a lot of character. That little person on the right is like entering the land of giants by mistake :) Beautiful shot.
9 Dec 2009 5:30pm
Un très joli cliché avec ces squelettes d'arbres et la toute petite silhouette....
9 Dec 2009 5:40pm
Love how you seem able to stage-manage these freeze-frames from dreams . . they become so believable !

9 Dec 2009 10:04pm
Trees silhouettes against the gray pale sky , poetry flower image recorded on the misty beauty of the day, is beautiful
9 Dec 2009 10:13pm
Trees are poems written to the sky by the earth - your picture is a wonderful poem !
9 Dec 2009 10:19pm
That's an image by Sharon Wish. Unmistakably.
9 Dec 2009 10:42pm
a lovely capture Sharon. feels so dreamy indeed. the vignette is quite big for me, however. but don't worry, it's just me :)
10 Dec 2009 12:13am
I look for that single figure walking away or across the frame, as they say sometimes its all timing. :)
10 Dec 2009 2:06am
A wonderful craggy tree to photograph and I like the Willow there beside it.
10 Dec 2009 3:55am
I dream of beautiful trees. This is a dreamy image with that amazing central tree and that tiny person heading out of the frame. An inspired photo!
10 Dec 2009 4:04am

10 Dec 2009 9:35pm
It does look like a scene from a dream. Wonderful image.
10 Dec 2009 10:11pm
@Polydactyle: Thanks David. You think so? I have not tried submitting anything in quite some time, as I got tired of everything being rejected. Perhaps it's time to try again :)
It's the most subtle element that makes a piece of art memorable....
11 Dec 2009 3:12am
I dream too, but as with every dream it seems that its just that... a dream. O well.
Great image with the perfect mood.
11 Dec 2009 12:30pm
I like the dreamy atmosphere and the beautiful and graphic silhouettes of the trees.
11 Dec 2009 12:52pm
Wow, beautiful, very etherial, and wicked framing
11 Dec 2009 4:12pm
Well-exposed tree. The whole image gives a surreal impression. Really like treatment.
11 Dec 2009 5:27pm
Yes, an image that moves me to dream! What a beautiful find... and as always, that bluechameleon signature tone and treatment are making this special!
12 Dec 2009 1:35am
yes beautiful framing. and it does feel so dreamy - a sweet dream. willow trees are rare here - i miss them - so it's really nice to see what look to be willow branches on the right.
12 Dec 2009 3:00am
Truly gorgeous! Your beautiful image reminds me that I have one very similar waiting to be framed and hung (it's already printed). =)
12 Dec 2009 5:41am
@Toni: Thank you Toni. The one you have waiting to be hung, is it one you have taken? I'd love to see it, if you have a link that would take me there.
The shot I long to take! I LOVE it! The tree looks so forlorn and the fog only deepens the mood.
12 Dec 2009 6:33am
Outstanding image, perfect exposure.
Congratulations!
12 Dec 2009 9:54am
I must see things slightly differently to others who have commented. I don't find the trees spooky, just beautiful and I see three trees not just the central one. I do like the figure and seat included too. It's definitely a photo that instantly grabs my attention. Beautiful work.
12 Dec 2009 11:04am
Another great misty scene. Like the human presence and the tortured silhouette of the tree.
12 Dec 2009 3:03pm
You probably know that I'm not a big fan of nature shot, mainly because they tend to be very repetitive.
But this one.... Stunning. Moody, sad, minimalistic... Perfect !
12 Dec 2009 6:32pm
Woooow. This is absolutely beautiful. I really really love this tree.
12 Dec 2009 8:14pm
I really like the composition, wonderful vignetting, congratulations !
13 Dec 2009 4:36am
i love this ghost tree effect, so spooky!
20 Dec 2009 6:34am
I never get tired of looking at your black and white photos that have strong silhouettes. They are wonderful!
20 Dec 2009 7:01am
