I cannot walk through the suburbs in the solitude of the night without thinking that the night pleases us because it suppresses idle details, just as our memory does.

Belle image, belle citation, même si j'y ressens plus un extraordianire sentiment d'écrasement.

Wow, a compelling shot...I can't take my eyes from it.
The neon green is dynamic on its own. Then there is some sort of angle going on,
and the huge size of the frame. Breath-taking !!!

"Will anybody help? / Tell me when my light's on / Would you please tell me when my light turns green?" (Dexys Midnight Runners)
Night walks with my favourite photographer are always pure pleasure. What a brilliant frame, what gorgeous light, what a terrific composition, Sharon. A great photograph & a new favourite for me. All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

The Matrix revolution reach a new state I think - CANADA! :D ... I do not really like such overtoned shots - but it fits absolute perfect to this capture. Makes me thinking of doing a shot like this one ^^.

It has a... villainous comic book look to it. Maybe I am thinking about the Riddler from the Batman? Nice shot.

26 Jan 2010 8:18pm

Love the quote, it's great. So is this image, the detail you wouldn't see in the day time you can see here, the trivial as the quote says, removed. That leaves a wonderful beacon of verdigris light!
26 Jan 2010 9:31pm
a very nice neon-like effect from the building, does look like some kind of sci-fi movie effect! nice. =]

Amazing one Sharon. The mood is just perfect. A touch of alien atmosphere... The silhouette give the power... 5 stars!
26 Jan 2010 11:48pm
This is amazing! The green is a great idea. The little guy next to the big green building really sets off this excellent image.
27 Jan 2010 12:06am
that silhouette of the person on the door really makes this shot.. well done.. :)

i never see glass window blocks like that anymore. they seem to have gone out of fashion. or perhaps, nobody wants to live in glass houses anymore, because everyone throws stones.

You really have a way of getting that one isolated individual in the frame. I bet you're like a hunter, just waiting for the moment. Another great shot. I don't see how you crank these terrific photos out every single day.

@Dustin: Thanks so much Dustin. Truthfully it's been a struggle lately, so little time for shooting and processing I find myself digging in the archives, although this one is current. Everyday has become impossible for me as of late and I am happy with twice a week these days :)
Brillant play with scale...unscaling arquitecture indeed, and this light/color are amazing. Well-done Sharon!

What a powerful, grass-like yet glass, green ! This green reminds me of the internal body of an... insect (do I have to call a doc ? ;), and i like a lot the tiny silhouette and the super quote : so true !

excelente composición y color de este edificio, muy buena!

Love the lighting in the building, the green seems to go well with the night atmosphere, it gives an eerie feel in some ways. The person at the buildings door seems really vulnerable. Great image.
28 Jan 2010 3:05am
I love that you didn't convert this one to b&w, Sharon - the green is so cool!!
28 Jan 2010 5:07am
wow, very cool, i love the colors. I also like the figure standing in the bottom of the frame, all your pictures seem to have some sort of mystery to them, mainly the identity of a person somewhere in the picture. I really like it.
28 Jan 2010 5:10am
beautiful green lights! how mysterious is that person entering the building. love it!
