"Time is too slow for those who wait,
too swift for those who fear,
too long for those who grieve,
too short for those who rejoice,
but for those who love, time is eternity."

Marvelous capture and composition. Love the fog. 5-3.
22 Feb 2010 5:38am
Those reflections over time and the very moody atmosphere in your grey-toned picture goes to well together. So well that I hardly can see any time chasing here, more of harmony though. Wonderful picture and message.
22 Feb 2010 7:28am
Love the elongation of the trees and figures. The 'fog' is a super effect with that deep and striking B&W.
22 Feb 2010 8:08am
the fog in the image almost creates timelessness (if theere is such a word ?)
22 Feb 2010 8:17am
How subtle are the lights between the trees ! Love that misty quality of your B&W and the slow pace on the path : Time has to be taken as a partner, and getting old, we understand this better : no hurry, no slow-motion, just going smoothly with the Present, as hard or surprising as it can be sometimes. Time is all. Just like Love ;) Have a superb week, dear Sharon (and i also love the trio of benches ready to receive the trio of characters, in case they would like to take... time to pause ;)

Mystery and shades in that foggy way of the park.
A warm greeting
22 Feb 2010 8:38am
I love the trio of friends in a misty atmosphere, the play of shadows, long silhouettes of trees, long silhouettes of humans in a quiet stroll ! I love your quote !
22 Feb 2010 9:45am
hope is turning through us, if we have some friends. it is equal, if we stand in a dark and deep wood or if we couldn't see the light - our friends would help us through the night.
22 Feb 2010 11:29am
beautiful tonal range from soft white to black...actually pretty incredible...love the subject, friends, family, taking a stroll together, sharing their time...our story...and the poem is good and shows the unreal nature of time if the mind can twist it in so many ways...speaking of twists...i wonder if you condensed this image...the figures look somewhat elongated, as do the trees...adios amiga...

This image makes me a bit uneasy....as though someone or something may jump out at these 3 at any time!
22 Feb 2010 2:57pm
very fine composition . . . it like how fragile it seems
22 Feb 2010 3:00pm
This is gorgeous. I *love* the view at the top through the trees.
22 Feb 2010 4:03pm
Always, no doubt. And so difficult to inverse the chase :)
22 Feb 2010 5:14pm
Beautiful place to be, and greatly captured.
22 Feb 2010 5:19pm
I literally feel that today because tomorrow I will be a year older ;-) Great mood in this image.

the master of the mood strikes again - great image
22 Feb 2010 6:22pm
this could be a still from a movie poster. nicely done.
22 Feb 2010 6:25pm
PS - Canada certainly is getting those home soil golds that have eluded you in the past. Bravo. The Canadians were far and away the best of the ice dancers last night; I'm not the biggest fan of Ice Dancing, but they were breathtaking.
22 Feb 2010 7:24pm
@john4jack: Thanks Jack! We took the gold last night! What a thrill that was :)
A deeply moving and beautifully seen image. Nicely done.
22 Feb 2010 7:45pm
A wonderful, moody image. The curving path, trees, fog and people are perfect.

Like a pause for this three young people. The light and the way you used it are very pretty.

This is my first visit to your site. Your portfolio is amazing; this shot included.
23 Feb 2010 5:36pm
great walk into the mist! love the dark figures here! so moody.
24 Feb 2010 12:45am
incredible shot! this has a sort of nostalgic or sentimental feeling to it, like old friends catching up, or perhaps saying goodbye. terrific misty atmosphere.
24 Feb 2010 12:58am
Fog , that faithful friend. Feels like a good time. So if it's chasing at the same pace they're going, sounds like it might be a quartet after all. The part I love in your photo is on the right hand side. That tree in the depth , middle of the other quartet. Lovely corner, that where I'm going.
Cheers Sharon.

Un bien joli cliché, pleine de charme et de tendresse ... Lovely shot ! Bravo !
24 Feb 2010 8:48am
Beautiful! After reading the quote it is clear to me that these three love, there is such an eternal feel to this shot!
24 Feb 2010 4:01pm

Your photo fits perfectly with the poem. Love it!
24 Feb 2010 10:23pm
Times like these, like in the picture above, return to you time and time again, reminding you of the good times gone and better times to look forward to. :) Lovely image.
25 Feb 2010 3:13am
reminds me of a scripture where Jesus heals a blind man, and the man says people look like trees, and Jesus has to heal him some more :) lovely shot Sharon!!
25 Feb 2010 3:19am
I like how you stretched this photo on purpose to go with the poem, nice shot.
25 Feb 2010 10:50pm
How wonderfully effective the compression is in this emotive shot . . it forges such a link between the figures and the trees. Very clever stuff . . and those words are fine and true, too.
27 Feb 2010 9:45am
fabulous picture and the quote is so to the point, so true.

Brilliant image of this wonderful path...The mist in the distance is full of secrets, inviting me to walk in and find out...fabulous!
