From February 12 to February 28, 2010 Vancouver is hosting the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. I welcome you all to see scenes from the streets of my beautiful city during this time.
Along Burrard Street a line up of police motorcycles that stretched for half a city block...a reflection of the Hotel
Vancouver in one of the headlamps.

it's a very cool photo. (i don't know how
anyone could keep a lamp so clean and
shiny, there's not even a spot on it.)

28 Feb 2010 8:13am
Hi, nice meeting you!
Very nice and creative auto-portrait.
28 Feb 2010 9:07am
That's what I call spit and polish. Shiny boys toys. Plus a bonus self portrait. Good that you trusted to steady hands and put your head up. Well framed

28 Feb 2010 10:50am
I love reflection shots like this such cool warped shapes and this works so well in B&W
28 Feb 2010 12:15pm
Likeable taking. The distortion effect increases the interest. The forms enchant to me that take place.
A strong hug

This feels so inviting to me.. I like the woman in the white jeans watching you...I think she might be with you? or at least thats the story I have made up! :)
28 Feb 2010 12:44pm
Nice shot that shows the photographer in a "cirque-du-soleil" pose.... ;-)
28 Feb 2010 12:46pm
Words can hardly describe the pleasure to walk around your beautiful city with you. And your views on the city are the most terrific ones I ever saw. Never fails to impress. An amazing composition & a great photograph, Sharon! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Silver Sharon ! You won the Silver medal at the Olym...pics ! ;) Super effect, plus it seems you shoot on one leg ? You are that unique impressive one ! I would have given you gold as well ;) Love the light and everything gathered like inside a snow ball here. Have a sweet week*
1 Mar 2010 8:11am
That is shiny! Beautifully done - a most unique self portrait....
1 Mar 2010 8:41am
fab chrome reflection, a world in a bubble?...i also like the blurred areas around the chrome...amazing tonal range...kinda reminds me of Man Ray's distortion images...was it him or Andre Kertez?...now I'm not sure...I'll have to do some research...
1 Mar 2010 9:13am
It is a amazing range of tones and nice composition.
Thank you.
1 Mar 2010 12:38pm
Very nice self portrait, love the contrast.
1 Mar 2010 1:09pm
A natural fisheye, is that the one-legged-technique of photography.
1 Mar 2010 2:23pm
very original self portrait , clear with a great light, well done , you :)
1 Mar 2010 2:54pm
Is that a Medal dangling from your wrist...you'll never be the same : ]
1 Mar 2010 5:45pm
@ordinaryimages: Ha! Ha! I wish! Naw, that's just my lomo fisheye camera :)
Brilliant self portrait! A wonderful composition with a wealth of detail...great shot!
2 Mar 2010 5:44am
That's a very cool shot, I love that your lens seems larger than life too!
2 Mar 2010 3:23pm
you have captured a lot of elements in this image and makes this a nice documentary!
2 Mar 2010 6:30pm
Aa different shot from you, I like it!... great reflections
3 Mar 2010 4:15am
i like this kind of fisheye effect you've got here with the reflector. great compo! neat lens too.
3 Mar 2010 4:43am
Great and interesting selportrait of you. I really admire your excellent technique as always...standing on one leg when photgraphing, I mean :-) !
3 Mar 2010 8:24am
Very nice reflection and pleasant self portrait. Like the contrasted and luminous B&W.
3 Mar 2010 1:49pm
Were you standing on one foot? Nice reflection.
3 Mar 2010 7:35pm
@Howard F.: Thanks Howard. No, not standing on one foot...if you look closely you'll see that the other foot is back on the curb :)
A magnificent idea and expression, I really like this shot, congratulations !
3 Mar 2010 8:26pm
Somehow, you have made this more fun that it has ever been before . . . and to do so on one leg is truly amazing !
3 Mar 2010 10:24pm
@Ronnie 2¢: Thank you Ronnie :) Actually, I am not really the one legged wonder. Because of the fisheye reflection it's hard to see that I've got one leg back on the curb.
Hi Sharon. There has long as I had not seen :)) Very nice.
5 Mar 2010 1:46am
Very cool shot. Are scenes from the olympics on their way??
5 Mar 2010 2:32am
@Lorna: Thank you :) Yes, I'll be putting up more street scenes next week. It's been a hectic week and I've been sick on top of it all so I've been neglecting things here at AM3 :/
Very cool shot, this would be a great avatar for you. I love how the headlamp gives a fisheye effect and there you are with cameras hanging off your arm, very nice indeed.
6 Mar 2010 2:28am
@Will: Thanks Will. Avatar you say? Hmm...I never thought of that, I'll have to try that, thank you :)
Excellent self-portrait, maybe a little bit common but efficient for sure !
6 Mar 2010 11:00pm
Hope you're doing okay. Seems odd not to have a new image from you.
6 Mar 2010 11:36pm
Impressive image Sharon, perfect mirror reflection, love the clarity. Great shot of the photographer too.

Excellent Blue !
12 Mar 2010 8:26am
