Love this, Sharon. With 2 very different images we say the same things today : here, cotton in the eyes... Love the shivering presences & walls, not only people but what they see, excellent illustration of your saying and thought-provoking feeling, deep one*

"There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief / "There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief" (Bob Dylan)
Lost in the crowd but rescued by your amazing beauty, Sharon! This is the perfect start for today. Waking up, feeling a little confused but looking at this terrific shot I did find myself. Thanks for sharing this great photograph! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

j'adore...and the quote, I truly wonder if we ever see it without the mind blurring images...it's rare that the mind is quiet enough to let us look...
18 Mar 2010 10:04am
A great sense of confusion indeed! Very well done.
18 Mar 2010 10:21am
Beautifully done Sharon! I initially thought you would have called it St Patrick's Revenge! ;-)
18 Mar 2010 11:34am
Crowded and confused in an alley... I can ear them talk and whisper to reinforce this strange feeling... dazzed...

I am sure by late evening/night last night after the Paddys day celebration many were seeing confusion like this
such a cool shot

The words and your illustration of them go so well together. They give a special meaning to each other, that I as an onlooker can think for several solutions. A great picture to wonderful words! 5*!

And as a complement after I also have looked to Karine´s picture today :
Seeing yours and Karines pictures today and then reading your dialogue in the comments gives a new dimension to the pictures and makes the Am3-visit today to one of the most interesting visit since I first discovered this site.

When I opened this page an involuntary 'Ohhhhh' escaped my lips. I love this shot and I want to see it blown up huge and hanging on a wall.

Super high-contrast shot. Your title suits it well too...
18 Mar 2010 10:05pm
i really like how the edges of a lot of the people here fade to light. it's a beautiful effect. i like your title too. the combination of the title and the image makes me think how transitory confusion can be.
19 Mar 2010 3:03am
Great contrast ! Nice shot ! Original too !

Wonderful chaotic image, it works so well in B&W, it reminds me of the wonderful street photography of the Japanese street photographer Daido Moriyama, I suggest you google him :-)

Sometimes you don't need a whole lot of details to feel the story! Take a look at some of my images next week, I've got some similar work coming up! :)
19 Mar 2010 11:13pm
Beautiful blur effect. A sense of confusion indeed. I am not sure how you got the blur on the left side of people but it gives an artistic mood to the picture.
20 Mar 2010 1:54am
Fantastic image, definitely the effect here is consistent with the title. Impressive composition as always.
20 Mar 2010 1:58am

Wonderful! The reality is mixed with an illusion - a mysterious photograph, and inspiring at the same time ...
20 Mar 2010 5:23pm
I know these days, where all the people seem to be a black crowd, blurry and unseizable.
Very impressive composition.
21 Mar 2010 5:28am
I really like this one. Before I read your quote I was thinking that sometimes, just sometimes, this is how the world looks to me!
22 Mar 2010 12:36am
love the all-around blur in this photo sharon! gives me the feeling that everything happens so fast, so sudden...
22 Mar 2010 3:37am
Nice one; like everybody is walking around in their own haze; oblivious to everyone around them.
22 Mar 2010 4:15am
I love your images of people...so intimate and so anonymous at the same time.
22 Mar 2010 11:03am
Unknown person among the shadows and often only in the crowd....

I wonder why movement in photography makes for such powerful images, this one in particular, would it be that because it caught a moment nobody might have seen? Lovely!
25 Mar 2010 4:32pm
Mystery, Drama, mood, movement all come together brilliantly in one great image!! Great work!
26 Mar 2010 9:52am
