Black and white are the colors of photography. To me they symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which mankind is forever subjected.

I have this quote by Robert Frank written close to me, i love it, so true, and your image symbolyzes the alternative very well : how cool to see, in the same fisheye planet-like frame, both Subway & Camouflage !

And you prove that Robert Frank is right. Not only of my new favourites of your beauties but a mighty fine post, Sharon. What a brilliant point of view, what an amazing storytelling, what a great photograph! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

That Lomo fisheye really pulls in the street character in these candids . .

WOW this is so cool, with the Lomo fisheye effect bringing out in some way the character and congestion and busyness in a city

Very nice fisheye. The fact that you focus on the word subway and leave the rest of the world obscured is great.

Very nice shot, especially in a city scene.

Very nice fisheye. I always try to read all the signs - one looks like 'vegabyte pizza'. Hmmm.

Very good fisheyte and reflextion on b/w. The photo is a metaphor of reality, even with the stairs going to the depths of its meaning.

nice fish eye! and i love the name of the pizza joint across the street .... MEGABITE PIZZA ?
21 Apr 2010 12:26pm
the fisheye effect is very cool - i love how it changes the shape and tonality of the Orpheum - but i also really like the exact moment you chose here - the spacing between the people walking.

Very creative shot, Sharon! I'm going to have to give that a try someday. Well done. =)

LIke how this is a streetshot and therefore seemingly about people. yet you forced them out into the "corners". Perfect imho.

@6ft5: Thanks so much G!
A very strong wide angle. I especially like how people are entering and leaving the frame.
