Due to a crazy schedule there's not been a lot of time for shooting, so I've been wading through the archives lately, looking for things that were overlooked the first time around. Oddly enough I came across this photo that was taken exactly 3 years to this day.
I'll be away from all things electronic and convenient for the next few days, so I'll catch up with you all next week.
Happy Canada Day y'all!!

Great little bathing silhouettes dotting the ocean. This is a wonderful capture in black and white and this light. Love the vignette, too. An old fashioned beach look.

J'aime bien le vignettage qui donne un coté un peu voyeur à cette image.

That vision so different from a day of beach. Substitute, with black and white a powerful one.
Warm greetings

the b&w treatment makes it very dark and grubby, but it's big fun at the same time.
summe by the sea...! :-)
I sometimes took similar shots on the beach, I love this ambiance with many people, but I always did in colour. You inspire me to try it in b&w!

Seems almost possible to read the individual thoughts of those evenly-spaced figures out there . . a truly beautiful illustration and presentation of The Moment.

Each attitude is unique... Weird are the legs of the kid hanging on the foreground that a grown-up lifts, intrigues me (ah, we always see what we can, i'm afraid... ;) The vignettage gives a cinematic feeling to this scene. You make me want to join them right now... Love their black figures, like seals... A superb scene, love this kind so much. (what is "second beach" related to ? Or just the real name, maybe ?) Have a nice Thurs. dear*

It seems a good old day, though it was only 3 years ago...
1 Jul 2010 12:10pm
This is great in b&w. It could be 1963 instead of 3 years ago. We know it's not this year....to cold. Have a great holiday weekend! C
Cheers

By the stance of some of them it appears the water is cold.

Love this feeling... see things through a telescope. It gives the feeling to see world (human beeings as if they were ants). I love it. love those suitbathed silhouettes. Some need diets. ;-)))
2 Jul 2010 7:27pm
woah, why do they look so evenly spaced?! :D nice shot!
2 Jul 2010 11:37pm

3 Jul 2010 10:04am
You know what Sharon ? Sometimes i simply can not comment your shots. Because i feel too much. True for this one, and the one before. Words seem sometimes so weak, and violent at the same time. So now and again, let's enjoy the slience. And your images.

3 Jul 2010 5:00pm
A delightful shot...it looks slightly 'staged' due to the odd spacing of the bathers.
Wonderful effect !!

5 Jul 2010 6:49pm
that vignette really draws you in! This could well be a shot from the 50's. Timeless!
5 Jul 2010 7:34pm
Good use of silhouettes, adds an extra interesting dimension.
5 Jul 2010 9:52pm
This is a great capture. I love the feel, almost forlorn in the processing. It's a great contrast to what should be a fun activity.
