The composition is wonderful. Love the transition between the lines of the benches and
the shapes of the dog and its owner. Dramatic silhouettes !!

Everything is reduced to skillful silhouettes, like in a Chinese theater.
Warm greetings

Beautiful silhouette. I like the appearance of the benches.
That dog seems to be wounded. Maybe not so badly ?

Good shot against the light. Poor dogs when thay have to wear this :)

Great backlight. A pitty that bench avoiding the dog from silhouetting against the sky. Brilliant photographic eye.

A man and his best (now neutered) friend :)
Love the quite moment you've captured here, missed your photos.
Long time no see :)

Sure, we walk their way, stop when they stop. Funny silhouette, and I love the graphic quality due to the benches.

LOL....Nothing more embarassing than having to go out with the cone on! Super use of light and shadow Sharon! Well done! ;-)

Great shot. I love this so well timed. Passing between these two benches, with their fine pattern of lines, and the dog wearing his funnel, is geometric excitement! And very funny as well. It's as though the dog has decided to enter the world of geometry as well. Beautifully processed in this black and white!

Poor pup--he's probably so embarrassed wearing the giant cone. :) But as your quote states, his owner/friend still loves him just the way he is!

Your signature style in full flow here . . what a wonderfully creative image this is.

Such humiliation; poor dog! At least, he gets to go for a walk. Our dogs have all had to wear these for a brief period. They felt so silly, I think.

Impressive image, really like how you captured the lines and lighting here. Perfect timing and angle for the dog and man walking between the benches. Definitely a striking mood you created with this shot.

The translucent cone stands out when placed against the silhouettes. It works very well.

Hope the dog gets well soon:-) Really terrific silhouette from an impressive vantage point.

Looks like a dog radar station, is there any doggy out there
20 Jul 2010 9:22am
Ahh - how embarrassed he must feel - hoping he doesn't see any of his firends!
20 Jul 2010 12:10pm
poor dog :(
but the dark tones have really helped to highlight the profile very well. nicely done and timing to is excellent!
20 Jul 2010 2:33pm
maybe its just me but dogs look SOOOOO cute in one of those cones.
20 Jul 2010 8:35pm
Ahh! I've missed your posts! Well done as usual!

Your light ! I love it. The perfect timing in-between the benches, the beautiful silhouette, the surprising lamp-shaped healing dog (i shot one lately ;), i enjoy everything here and their pace. As for the quote, to apply to ourselves first too sounds good. See you, dear Sharon ~

i like to think that it's for their own good.. but they look quite funny in them.. that's a fine shot you got too.. :)

Love your lighting here. I feel sorry for the poor dog....the cone of shame :( Our siberian had to wear one of those for a bit. Her eyes were telling us she was mortified.

What I love about this beauty of yours is that the man & the dog are right in between two benches. Two shilouettes & nothing but movement. Great, Sharon, simply great! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Wonderful shaodws! I like the shape of the fences! And I know that the dog had an operation in eyes!^_^

The "radar dish" as I call it is the funniest & cruelest device invented for dogs. I too like the lighting, the gradient from dark to light.

Great silhouettes! Poor dog!
