I love him...his little ears perked up as he waits for the moment he sees his master coming back for him. You have captured the reason we love our dogs...loyality.

Outstanding capture Sharon! In many ways it reminds me of the old RCA dog....."waiting for his master's voice"! Well done! ;-)

Have you seen the movie Hachi: A Dog's Tale? I heard it'll make everyone cry... It's a remake from Japanese "Hachiko", a true story, I watched the original Japanese B&W (with my wife) just the part he went to wait for his master... and both of us can't stop crying...

Fabulous shot...and wonderful title. Love the way the white dog stands out in the darkness of this image. He is the picture of loyalty and forbearance. Super shot !!

You have captured the patience of this dog very well

You framed this wonderfully, love his attitude, expecting, faithfully, and the feet of the passers-by leaving slowly. Your B&W&Dog is superb !

A beautiful shot. I like your PoV, at the same level as the dog. And his posture is really nice.

What focus! As if staring hard enough will make the expected on re-appear.

those death heads on the leash are a cool detail :)

Look of complete concentration and anticipation! The tilt of the dog forward just a bit showig that he/she's ready to lunge at their owner at first glance! :)
10 Nov 2010 2:21pm
You can just sense his anticipation of his owner's return. Wonderful.

I love how he's expecting... Most of all love your great composition with the line going in the background on which he's seated, when passers-by are walking, the leash cuts it wonderfully and has for sure its importance here in the dimension you give to this shot. Observation of animals' behavior, and nature, is full of answers for us, poor humans ;)) Always such a pleasure to watch your shots, see you !!

Perfect! He strains with yearning, without pulling the line taut, and yet we can feel his internal pull.

:-) I believe it would. What a neat capture.
