Wow, that is incredible! This should be an illustration in a book or maybe a cover. Fabulous work, Sharon!

@pascal: ...I don't know, but believe me, I looked :)
Very good composiiton and POW, I like the tones and the suggerences of the image.

With the POV you have chosen , the observer seems hidden and introduces himself the feeling of mystery. This is reinforced by the dark light and tones. Very well done !
Kind regards

Aww... deep emotion here - your photo first, a pure enchantment, Sharon, the tone, the softness, the depth of those woods (how i love the background's detailed delicacy), the compo in Black & Amber, one of my fav (again, yes ;) at your place, sincerly. Plus this quote is one of my fav too. Reminds me a zen saying about the fact the true miracle is not to walk on water/sea but on earth/ground... Thanks for the glorious beauty you share here, and have a soft/sweet sunday yourself.

To read that list of ingredients - bw-toned-man-bike-fog-trees-texture - who could guess how wonderfully delicious it would all turn out ?! Perfect.

6 Dec 2010 12:52am
Superb. That certainly has the Blue Chameleon touch.
6 Dec 2010 2:47am
Soft and beautiful, the rigor of the winter makes mysterious.
6 Dec 2010 9:00am
Yeah, justrement, that's what I like: this light, this mood and a bike!
6 Dec 2010 2:57pm
Sleepy hollow indeed. Beautiful, Sharon. Definitely filled with mystery, yet somehow tranquil at the same time.
6 Dec 2010 3:52pm
What are we looking at? At the mystery of the (visible) world or at the photographer's mood (albeit imagined) ?
6 Dec 2010 3:54pm
Hey man. your are a great photographer.
I like your photos..
This photo is perfect, shadows, fog, trees, composition, textured, specially, cyclist..!
Bravo.
6 Dec 2010 6:40pm
Love the way the focus is of the tree in the background and being framed by other trees. A modern day sleepy hollow. Love it!

simply great! the light an shadow, silouhette of cyclist, beautiful framing, great balance of high contrasts and details... I really like this one!
8 Dec 2010 8:14pm
The layers of the trees, background and foreground, cast this figure in the perfect 'Sleepy Hollow' setting !
Partly mystery, partly real, all dream-like. Magnificent.
8 Dec 2010 8:42pm
How kinetic ! I can see here, feel a very strong Tim Burton and Steven
Spielberg mood here... Spielberg for E.T and his famous scene with the
flying bicycle and Tim Burton for the wonderful feeling you deliver in the background with this very eyecatching and poetic glow/haze in the trees... how thrilling and fairy Sharon !
As a dreamer, I can say that you've made my day with this unbelievable shot.
9 Dec 2010 3:10pm
@Florence: Wow Florence, thank you so much! I'm so happy that you got these feelings from this shot as it was what I was trying to achieve. By adding the layer of texture I wanted to portray this as more than a (grey) ride through the fog :)
Wow, an awesome cinematic (Tim Burton) vibe to it, I love it. That must be Johnny Depp on the bike :)
9 Dec 2010 6:39pm
@Howard F.: Thanks Howard! If that was Johnny Depp on that bike, I guarantee you that this shot would not have happened, and I'd have an entirely different tale to tell. It would not be beneath me to chase after him like a school girl ;-)
Nice toning. I like the myst filtered sunlight.
10 Dec 2010 10:06am
The delicately treatment, strong silhouettes and dynamics create a stunning image.
11 Dec 2010 10:02pm
compo de lujo extremo, me encanta la silueta del ciclista y la atmosfera, saludos!!
