Wonderful light that bathes this image - you got a D700 ? You deserve it, bravo - i didn't notice it before, and i'm so happy for you - and for us to be able to enjoy your work with it, are you already happy with it ?
I love the man's attitude, his thoughts make him bend his head softly and the rocks are beautiful. Again i love this light in your rich mono. A begin of a year is a good time for promises, do hope they'll all turn positive. Have a very nice week, Sharon ~

@k@: Thank you so much Karine. Yes. I finally got my D700 (and the 28-300mm lens) a week before Christmas. Then I was working so much, the weather was so wet and the holidays were so busy, that I barely got a chance to use it. Yes, I'm really happy with it, and it's a big change from the D70. The full frame sensor really was the way to go for me, as I was considering the D7000...I still may get that one (in time) to have a 2nd body. I also got a 50mm 1.4 lens which I love, but miss having the wider angle of my old D70 kit lens, so that will be the next purchase. I will say though, it's very heavy and my arm gets quite a work out ;)
Beautiful light in this capture Sharon! I hope he has enough to read his Blackberry! Well done! ;-)

(thanks so much for the answer, Sharon, sure it's damn heavy and one of the reason why i wait - also wait for a possible D800 or whatever the name with the D7000 pixels number) but i'm sincerly super happy for you since all the ones who have it whom i know love it so much - enjoy, and we'll do that here too, sure ;-)

A beautifully composed and process shot - at first glance I thought it was another photographer checking his histogram - or something. Whatever, enjoy the new camera.

Keep working with your arm muscels so you can manage with the heavier D 700. We really want to see mor of this combination d7000/bluechameleon (even if I prefer CANON :-) anyway)
By the way a very interesting image of a wonderful silhoutte against the sky and the rocks. great lighting.
Some promises to come through with the new camera and lens.
