A shattered cloud of swirling doves
And their eyes change
As they learn to see through flames
And their necks crane
As they turn to pray for rain"

I love the colors and the atmosphere, it looks like it could be the cover of a murder mystery

This is atmospheric in a potent almost cloying way; heavy duty vibes and an amped up feeling from the previous mono shot of this building. In other words, fantastic.

I think you really have captured and processed this picture so that it has a special mood and atmosphere that goes so well to the motive with the little church. I like this very much.

There are songs written about such lovely little churches in the dells, Sharon...I do believe. :)

Fascinating capture of what looks like a safe, secret retreat in a dark, perilous world. The dark tones and the vignetting markedly enhance this impression.

Hauntingly beautiful & deep. Brings us far... or deep... Digs painterly sensations in the eyes. Love that.

Poética fotografía. Melancólica y llena de cierto misterio.
Un cordial saludo

Like a bright refuge in the turmoils of life--just waiting for us to make our way to it. You captured a great atmosphere very well.

A tad creepy but love the mystery in the air and feeling of being in the middle of nowhere.

This color version of the churches excellent, also. The view through the trees and say nice air of mystery.

I like the last one too but this is my favorite. I like the trees in the foreground obscuring the church just a little. They frame the shot well. The toning is nicely done, too.

I love the soft and almost lonely atmosphere of this beautifully composed and developed scene.
Wonderful delicate details, here, too.

Oh, yes, I was hoping to see more from this location - again, you have presented the little glowing church house so well in the harshness of the season . . . love the oily coloring here.
5 Mar 2011 8:34am
I simply love this eerily beautiful shot--superb work!
5 Mar 2011 4:12pm
I like this view through the trees. The subject is well placed in the frame, and the sepia toning is quite effective.
5 Mar 2011 9:46pm
This antique processing is perfect for this classic subject.
6 Mar 2011 12:36am
it's nice you framed the row of trees in front of it to make it look like it's in a forest.. nice shot.. :)
6 Mar 2011 4:10am
Brrrrrr .... it's like beeing in an horror movie ... so scary place !!!
6 Mar 2011 2:16pm
Love the view filtered through the branches, also the soft atmosphere, light and textures. Charming scene. :)
7 Mar 2011 8:19am
The obstuctive foreground bushes help to create a kind of lonely, lost in the middle of the woods feel that's very attractive - all helped by the color toning.

I like the mood here, a little it creepy... Nicely done.
