I love the exquisite focus on the this woman in her striped shirt...
and the other details remaining a soft blur. A wonderful shot.
(I just noticed you have a D 700.
Obviously it's working well for you, even at lower light. How are you enjoying it?)
12 Apr 2011 6:48am
@DULCIE: Thanks so much :) Yes, I am enjoying my D700 very much. I got it a few days before Xmas and I feel it was a long overdue move.
Se nota la D700?, ¿qué tal cámara es?
La fotografía excelente, como siempre y un extraordinario blanco y negro.
Un cordial saludo

Those lines in her shirt are quite eye-catching. Now, if she could kick the cigarette habit. ;-)
12 Apr 2011 5:39pm
As if I'm standing right behind her, you've captured an excellent shot.
12 Apr 2011 7:45pm
Like the DOF, it's as if we could see what she dreams about, waiting for her friend...

The stripes really set off the girl from the background. Nice shot.

Wonderful framing. Love the sense of mystery..the waiting..the anticipation that can be felt here even without seeing a single expressive face. Terrific - as always!

Nice street scene. I love your composition with vertical and horizontal lines.
13 Apr 2011 2:55pm
Love the POV. Interesting that in B&W her shirt looks faded on the bottom half.

Great picture, capturing beautifuly the atmosphere of that momentum, even if seing it through my iPhone is really not idéal for getting a right feeling.
And the Rolling Stones song title is a very good choice.

Brilliant, Sharon. Words can't describe how much I love this sense of geometrical lonesomeness. A gem. All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Stripes story, as if waves had calm down, turned into numeros horizons piled up within her, and now she can stand against the vertical pole. Something about balance here. Pause & balance. I like the feeling, the moment - before joining the crowd and being part of it again, and the very soft B&W & Dof. Have a super sweet end of week, S*

The simplicity of the shot is amazing. Although I do wish I could see her face :(. But her striped shirt makes an interesting pattern relative to the composition of the whole picture.
