our own kind of dream to be weaving.

Nice line of the "pier" and this landscape.
I don't like people in a picture only when they are useful
and here he is with his dog.......

wow, fantastic black and white, love the way you captured this scene. Great timing with dog and it's owner. I also like the fog in the background.

How surprising this 2 levels image is, seems she walks in some underwater white zone, as if the image was upside-down and i just love this totally poetic sensation - ah and about the title, oh sure, Life is - also - what we act UP in. I'm in admiration with this compo & surreal photograph... I've a nice week, hopefully less stressful than the previous ones***

Can feel the brooding, clinging tones in this . . the sense of passing by as the waters begin to stir . . the need to quicken the pace. 100% atmosphere.

The quote is beautiful!!! And - I love the simple composition of this...the light. A lovely moment captured!

This is a really interesting composition. The compression from the lens almost looks like a telephoto, but I see that you used a 50mm lens on this. Was that 35mm-equivalent on the length?

@David: Thanks David. This was shot with a 70 to 200mm lens -- the exif threw me off for a moment as well -- I went back and checked and the 35mm equivalent is 75mm.
Sharon, love this image. Beautifully composed, a wonderful feeling of quiet enjoyment. And the poem by Louisa May Alcott? Perfect and just the thing I wanted to read today. Thank you:D

The person decided to stay on earth and not going on the water, that's a simple choice.
May be the person never considered the possibility going on the water..
A picture with different levels of interpretation.
A beautiful picture of a nice instant.

Beautiful and moody in that special west coast way that I love so much. I can't wait to set foot on Vancouver Island in August for my yearly family visit and drinking in of nature and Pacific ocean air. This shot has me feeling all of that reverence and sweet anticipation. Fine work!

Magical light as only you can find and capture it, Sharon. The mist on the hills and reflection in the water add to the beauty. Love it.

So peacefully beautiful and a wonderful quote. I love how the light filters through the clouds, just whispering on the trees and life on the distant shore. Great composition and framing.

The silence is overwhelming, Sharon. As is the light. Just an excellent composed frame & an inspiring beauty. Kind of hypnotizing in all it's calmness & contemplation. Great!
All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
